CrossFire confirmed to debut in Esports World Cup 2025
CrossFire is one of the oldest first-person shooter (FPS) titles in the market, published by Smilegate. It has a massive esports scene and hosts one of the most prestigious tournaments called CrossFire Stars. The most recent CrossFire Stars 2024 international event featured a whopping $1.43 million (USD) prize pool and crowned Evolution Power as the season's champion team.

The Esports World Cup is a multi-game tournament hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) and the ESL FACEIT Group, making it one of the most prominent tournaments in the entire world. Kickstarted in 2024, this tremendously successful massive event provides gaming enthusiasts and professional organizations an opportunity to compete on a global stage through open qualifiers.
A total of 40 teams will be able to secure a spot in the upcoming event — 32 teams will be seeded from qualifier events and the remaining eight will be invited from the previous Top 8 leaderboards. CrossFire's addition to the scene will allow FPS fans to enjoy a whole new series of matches as the pros take the stage to secure the ultimate victory.
