The Esports World Cup Overwatch 2 tournament will officially kick off on July 24, 2024. It is set to be one of the world's most prestigious events, where 16 teams will battle against each other for the top prize of $400,000. The MVP will receive $50,000 for their valuable contributions to their team.

The Overwatch 2 tournament will be divided into two stages. First, fans will witness the group stage, where the 16 teams will be divided into four groups. Next will be the playoff stage, which see the champion being crowned.

Esports World Cup Overwatch 2 prize pool

The prize pool for the Esports World Cup Overwatch 2 tournament is a staggering $1 million. The team that finishes on top wins $400,000, while the runner-up gets $160,000. The third- and the fourth-best teams will receive $80,000 each.

Here is how the prize pool will be distributed among all the teams based on their standings:

Format
