Event Pokemon Emboar available for download on Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Generation V Pokemon Emboar

It’s been a few months since the launch of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS, and developers Game Freak have already started to release a few event Pokemon to keep players entertained. Unlike legendary type Pokemons, event Pokemons are Generation V starters that possess a few special hidden abilities. So far the game has received two new Pokemons, the Grass type Serperior and the recently released fire fighting type Emboar.

Emboar is the evolved form of starter Pokemon Tepig and comes with a cool set of moves, like Flare Blitz, which is a very powerful ability on its own but does tons more damage combined with special hidden ‘Reckless’ skill. This ‘Reckless’ skill powers up abilities with recoil damage, so it works well with Emboar’s other moves like ‘Head Smash’ and ‘Take Down’. Pokemon tweeted the following,

The level 50 Pokemon can be obtained from January 28th to November 30th by using a special code POKEMON500. So all you have to do is start up the game and choose the “Mystery Gift” section located on the games main menu. Then go to “Receive Gift” followed by “Get With Code” and enter the code provided above. Once the download is complete, head over to the delivery lady at any Pokemon Center to receive your free Pokemon. Emboar will come in a special Cherish Ball.

The previously released event Pokemon was grass type Serperior, with a special hidden ability called ‘Contrary’. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, you can repeat the same steps mentioned above and enter the code POKEMON497. Serperior will be available for download from January 28th to November 30th.

The code is now live in US, Europe and Australia so make sure to get your free Pokemon before the event ends.
