Genshin Impact 5.2: Every Elemental Reaction damage buffed
The following Elemental Reactions have received a damage buff since the launch of the Genshin Impact 5.2 update:
- Overloaded (Pyro + Electro): Multiplier increased from 2 to 2.75 (37.5% boost).
- Superconduct (Cryo + Electro): Multiplier increased from 0.5 to 1.5 (200% boost).
- Shatter (Cryo + Hydro, then Geo Elemental Damage or Blunt heavy attack from a Claymore character): Multiplier increased from 1.5 to 3 (100% boost).
- Electro-Charged (Hydro + Electro): Multiplier increased from 1.2 to 2 (66.67% boost).
These buffs significantly increase the damage output of these reactions, improving their viability in both casual and advanced gameplay. Teams that revolve around Electro characters, in particular, stand to benefit the most. Previously niche compositions are now more competitive, allowing players to explore creative team-building strategies and diversify their setups.
However, not all reactions benefit equally. Superconduct, despite its 200% boost, remains inconsistent, as no character can reliably trigger it across all scenarios. Similarly, Shatter remains situational, as it only works against Frozen enemies, limiting its effectiveness in boss fights where freezing is not an option.
The update also makes reactions like Electro-Charged and Overloaded even stronger when boosted with higher Elemental Mastery. The more Elemental Mastery a character has, the greater the damage increase for these reactions, further enhancing their appeal.
