Falcons AP.Bren are the new MLBB ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge champions

Falcons AP.Bren showed great resilience and determination to emerge victorious in the MLBB ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge 2024. They won the trophy just a few days after losing the finals of the prestigious Mid Season Cup in the Esports World Cup 2024. This should help the M5 World Championship-winning team restore a lot of confidence.

MLBB ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge 2024's Playoff began on August 2, 2024, and ended on August 4, 2024. Six teams – Selangor Red Giants, Team Liquid PH, Fnatic ONIC, HomeBois, NIP Flash, and Falcons AP.Bren – competed for the lion's share of the $150,000 prize pool.

Falcons AP.Bren struggled in the Playoffs of the ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge, but it was worth it

There were 12 teams in the MLBB ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge Season 5 divided into two groups of six. Falcons AP.Bren were in the same group with Selangor Red Giants, where they had a chance to avenge their loss against the Malaysian giants in the Mid Season Cup 2024 final.

However, Selangor Red Giants again managed to remain unbeaten and entered the playoffs as group toppers.

Meanwhile, Falcons AP.Bren faced NIP Flash first in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. They won 2-0 to enter the Upper Bracket Semifinals, where they were again drawn against Selangor Red Giants. The latter managed to win the game (2-0) again, sending Falcons AP.Bren to the Lower Bracket Semifinal.

Here, they faced Fnatic ONIC (then ONIC Esports), who also had a chance to avenge their defeat in the M5 World Championship final against Falcons AP.Bren (then AP.Bren). While ONIC put up a commendable fight, they lost the game 2-1.

On the other hand, the Selangor Red Giants suffered their first loss in over three months against Team Liquid PH in the Upper Bracket Final. They were drawn against Falcons AP.Bren for the third time in the MLBB ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge tournament's Lower Bracket Final.

This time, Falcons AP.Bren finally managed to beat Selangor Red Giants 3-1 to enter the Grand Final of the tournament. In the final game of the MLBB ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge, Falcons AP.Bren faced Team Liquid PH in a thrilling contest.

While Falcons AP.Bren won the first two games, Team Liquid PH came back stronger and managed to secure the next two games. Then, Falcons AP.Bren won the next game to take the lead (3-2). Team Liquid PH quickly claimed the next game to equalize. However, Falcons AP.Bren won the final game of the best-of-seven series 4-3 and took the trophy home.

Falcons AP.Bren have won a cash prize of $62,000, while Team Liquid PH get $30,000. Selangor Red Giants earned $15,000 for coming in third, and Fnatic ONIC claimed $10,000 for securing the fourth position. You can check out the complete prize pool breakdown on snapdragonproseries.com.
