Your first stop in En is Starry Eyes, a cozy little restaurant where Sid gives you important updates on the rapidly deteriorating state of the world. After a short cutscene, Sid will remind you to check your Story Menu to keep track of active stories and sidequests — a handy tip if it's been a while since you last played.

Before progressing, Sid assigns you a sidequest: fetch an egg from Ancient Hill. While this is completely optional, completing it unlocks the Ultimate Rice Omelet recipe. Consider taking on this quirky task if you want a break from the main story.

Gather Intel around the town

After speaking with Sid, turn your attention to the other diners in Starry Eyes. Chat with the couple and the soldier to gather details about recent events. You’ll uncover shocking information about two meteors that crashed — one in the capital and another in the tundra north of Sandsea. Reports of a strange humanoid figure spotted in one of the meteors add to the mystery.

Once you are done gathering intelligence, restock on supplies if you need to. Remember, though, that the stores in En don't sell new stuff, so you can avoid them unless you're running low on basics.

Money! Money! sidequest

As you leave Starry Eyes, you'll meet an old man looking at the horizon. Talk to him to get the sidequest Money! Money! This is a great way to get some extra gold, so take some time to do this before moving on.

Discover the Lone house

Head to the southwest corner of En, where you begin the game. A previously locked lone house is now accessible. Inside, a merchant sells a Morganite S for 8000G. This heals you slightly every time you beat an enemy — great for endurance battles. If you have the funds, it's worth the investment.

Don't miss the chest in the house, which contains Research Lens x5, an excellent resource for crafting and exploration.

Progress the main story

After finishing the optional quests in En Walkthrough, head on over to your Story Menu and look at your In-Progress Quests.
