1) Navigating with Security Machines

You will find security machines in the basement that use searchlights to scan the surroundings. If you enter their light range, you will trigger enemies. Try to avoid the lights to reduce battles, or provoke them if you wish to grind experience.

• Save Crystal: Use the save crystal located near the entrance to heal and save.
• Chest Near Security Machine: There are three Clocks of Truth inside.
• Second Chest: Located next to another security machine, it carries the Frostbird Belt (24 DEF and increases the fire resistance). Equip on Kina to face the Salamander boss.

2) Solving the Switch Puzzle

You will see a series of doors closed by blue and red switches as you advance.

• First switch: Leo will automatically tread on the red switch, which will cause an enemy attack. Kill the enemies and move forward.
• Second switch: Leo once again flips the red switch, leading to another battle.
• Third switch: This time, choose the blue switch, and the door will open without triggering the security system.

Take the Elixir from the chest and go down to the next floor.

The Salamander boss has 20,000 HP with a tail of 4,000 HP and requires a solid strategy to defeat. While attacking, concentrate on the destruction of the tail with Cheryl's Ice Strike before Tail Slash causes much damage. Leo is there to soften its defense using Helm Bash, whereas Kina can heal it while softening the impact of fire with the Frostbird Belt.

Exploit its ice weakness and attack its exposed belly during mode changes for extra damage. Heal completely before its powerful Ground Flare attack, and use the recovery turn after to regroup. Repeat this cycle until the Salamander is defeated.

Navigating the Secret Room

• Open the normal chest on the left side to get two Remedies.
• Chaos Chests: These require Chaos Keys.
