The Fantastic Four family arrives in Marvel Rivals Season 1. The update is expected on January 10, 2025, and would introduce a lot of new gameplay content to NetEase Games’ latest hero shooter title. The new patch will supposedly bring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman to the roster, reserving the Human Torch and The Thing for the second half of the season.

The details of the ability kits for both heroes have not been revealed. However, the official Marvel Rivals YouTube channel posted two videos showcasing short gameplay footage of both characters and revealed their categories. These videos paint a vivid picture of the abilities the two new Fantastic Four heroes would bring to the roster.

What are the abilities of the Fantastic Four in Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals Season 1 is anticipated to be a massive update and will be split into two halves, according to the developers. The first part would bring a new game mode called Doom Match alongside a fresh map. Gameplay clips for Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are available but don't provide any ability names or exact effects.

Mister Fantastic is going to be a Duelist and will be able to deal limited ranged damage. His primary attack will be punching, like Groot, and will likely not have any reload animations. The alternate fire can be used to grab two opponents and smash them together to deal damage.

The hero also seems to have a defensive ability that can deflect incoming projectiles. The next ability in his kit can be used to quickly close the gap between allies or enemies. If used on enemies, the ability will likely provide the character with a temporary health pool boost.

The ultimate ability deals large AoE damage by bouncing on enemies for a limited number of times. The ability will likely have a targeting system that can be used to choose the drop location when bouncing.

Invisible Woman is going to be a Strategist class her primary attack being able to heal allies. Her alternate fire can conjure force field shields in front of allies to block some incoming damage. She has a double jump ability that triggers invisibility. Whenever the hero is out of combat, she will likely be able to remain invisible on the battlefield.

She has another ability that can create a small dome on the ground that deals damage and reduces enemy movement speed. Her defensive ability can be used to push back opponents to create space. The ultimate ability can be used to create a force field around an area on the map, turning everyone inside invisible to the outside.

Invisible Woman also has an alternative fire to the push ability and can pull enemies toward her using the force fields.

The abilities of the remaining two members of the Fantastic Four are currently unknown. However, the Human Torch will likely be added to the Duelist class with a flying ability and The Thing to the Vanguards with super strength and immense damage resistance.
