#5 Keylor Navas (Real Madrid)

Navas has been below par for Real
Navas has been below par for Real

Keylor Navas has firmly established himself as the Real Madrid number one but there continue to remain some questions over the handling ability of the Costa Rican. This has been on display several times this season especially in La Liga where the Galacticos have been well below par in a disappointing season.

Nonetheless, with a Champions League final coming up soon and the FIFA Club World Cup already in their grasps, it is possible that Navas just might be able to sneak in a spot on TOTS despite having just 6 clean sheets in domestic competition this campaign.

#4 Fernando Pacheco (Alaves)

Widely touted as the next big thing not very long ago, former Real Madrid custodian Fernando Pacheco has been more than just proving his worth for his new club Alaves.

The Spaniard has been in fine form this season and it is pertinent to note that despite the club being firmly in the bottom half of the table, Pacheco still has significantly more clean sheets (12) than several top goalkeepers including Keylor Navas of Real Madrid.

Thanks to his heroics and important saves this season, Alaves have confirmed themselves for another La Liga season despite fears of relegation. Don't be surprised if you see this talented stopper in TOTS.

#3 Ivan Cuellar (Leganes)

Few would have predicted that Leganes could have survived comfortably at the start of the season but despite some faltering performances, the club will remain in the Spanish top flight for another season.

Though they haven't been great overall, the club has their goalkeeper to thank for his timely saves and terrific handling ability such that Ivan Cuellar may be the team's best player. With a total of 14 clean sheets this season, Cuellar's calmness under pressure is testament to his experience and will most likely earn him an opportunity to at least contend for the crown of TOTS goalkeeper.

#2 Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona)

Ter Stegen has improved leaps and bounds

Barcelona haven't put a foot wrong this season in La Liga. They are Champions yet again and will probably go the distance without losing a single game. Now that's impressive. One of the highlights this season for the Catalans has been their staunch defence in addition to their potent attack.

Keeping that defence solid is a safety net like no other in Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. Emerging from the shadows of Manuel Neuer, the German has improved leaps and bounds and is now one of Europe's top keepers without a doubt. His 18 clean sheets have ensured the coveted La Liga trophy heads back to the Camp Nou for another season.

#1 Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid)

Oblak will likely win the keeping spot in TOTS

If there was ever a first clear choice to be the La Liga goalie based on a season's performance, Jan Oblak would easily take the cake. The Slovenian has had yet another phenomenal year in an Atletico shirt and has earned his spot among the world's elite.

His reflexes and vision is second to none and has arguably been one of the major reasons that Atletico Madrid have challenged for the title this season.

His stats are pretty incredible and he leads the bunch with a total of 21 clean sheets this season making him the most likely pick for La Liga TOTS. With transfer speculation rife, this might be a chance for one of Europe's biggest clubs to acquire the services of a true goalkeeping icon.
