What's the story?
Liverpool marksman Mohamed Salah, who is tearing it up in the Premier League, is due for an upgrade in FIFA 18. His 83-rated card just doesn't do him justice. Salah, who won the BBC African Player of the Year award in 2017 has scored 18 goals in 22 appearances.
While 12 of these goals came when he has played at right winger, he has been equally lethal as a centre-forward, scoring 3 goals in as many appearances for him. Seems fair that FIFA are not only upgrading his rating, but is also changing his position from RW to ST.
In case you didn't know
Salah has formerly played in the Premier League Chelsea FC in the 2014-15 season and made three appearances. He was sent on loan to Fiorentina after which, he decided to join AS Roma.

Heart of the Matter
Salah's forward stats have been significantly boosted. His overall rating also went up from 83 to 88. Salah now boasts of a staggering 96 pace, which has been boosted up from 93. However, his highest increase has been in his shooting, which went from 73 to a whopping 87, while his dribbling too is 92 in the leaked card, as compared to 86 in his previous cards.
This card will most likely be Salah's player of the month card. While an official announcement has not been made by EA, we can expect some kind of a confirmation soon. Salah won the Liverpool Player of the Month award a couple days back.
Author's take
This certainly seems to be a step in the right direction for Salah. His abilities and his rating clearly don't match. One of the best players in the league and a contender for the Golden Boot, Salah's upgrade from 83 to 88 is a move which will bring a smile to all the FIFA players who own him in the game.
