A new manager, a new era but the Gunners have still had the most Arsenal-like season once again. They had a rocky start, then went on a 22-match unbeaten run and are back to having a crisis now.
The Gunners have had some standout players and they are surely going to get an upgrade. But there are a few who have been bang average or worse and they are now set to get a downgrade when the rating refresh takes place.

#3 Stephan Lichtsteiner
Stephan Lichtsteiner was signed by Arsenal on a free transfer after he was released by Juventus as they needed a leader in the dressing room.
Per Mertesacker had retired, Arsene Wenger had left his managerial position and there was no senior figure in the dressing room.
However, injuries to Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolašinac saw the former Juventus man make a lot of appearances this season. He enjoyed a good start at Emirates but has been very the weak link in the defence for a few matches now.
Ultimate Team players would not be bothered with a downgrade for Lichtsteiner as he is never preferred by any player. He's way too slow and even the ones who are just making their team opt not to have him in their starting XI.
Rated at 80 in FIFA 19, Lichtsteiner might see his rating come down to 78 at least. His defending starts currently stand at 82, pace at 71 and physical of 77 – all three stats will be the most affected with the rating refresh and it might go down to 78, 66 and 74 respectively.

#2 Danny Welbeck
'That guy' Danny Welbeck is out injured yet again. The English striker has been on Arsenal's injury list more often than the team sheet. And with his latest injury, he is not going to be offered a new contract despite his current deal expiring in the summer.
The former Manchester United man played just 148 minutes under Unai Emery but still has 1 goal and 1 assist. However, for a player rated at 80 in the game, that is just not good enough.
With the rating refresh happening next month, Welbeck will be dropping from the 80 and above range and heading to 78. Once again, not many Ultimate Team players will be affected by this as he is only a part of the teams that are just being built.
Even for the newbies, there are way better options like Roberto Pereyra, Kenedy and Diogo Jota – all Premier League players available for cheap.

#1 Mesut Özil
Another player who might be on his way out of Arsenal is Mesut Özil. The 'magician' from Germany is not a part of Unai Emery's plans and has been told that he is free to leave in January itself.
At this point last year, Arsenal fans are begging Ozil to sign a new deal and remain at the club. He did exactly that but now again, they are still begging him to stay but it doesn't look like he will oblige.
Rated at 86 in FIFA 19, he has not justified his rating one bit. With so many players who are rated lower than him performing so well, EA will definitely give him a downgrade and it is expected to be a big one.
A push down to 84 is expected for Ozil and that will not be depending on his staying or leaving Arsenal.
