Kalidou Koulibaly is easily one of the best centre-backs in the world right now. He is strong, tall and quick as well. He has all the traits a manager wants in his defender and thus, he makes it to the top 2 in FIFA 20.
Rated at 87 initially in FIFA 19, he was upgraded to 88 in the winter upgrades. In FIFA 20, EA Sports should push him to 90 or 91 as he has been that good this season.

#1 – Virgil van Dijk (91)
Was there any doubt? Virgil van Dijk is the best centre-back in the world right now and no one can dribble past him. The Dutchman is the reason Liverpool have been brilliant this season and no one can deny that.
Rated at 85 at the start of FIFA 19, he was upgraded to 88 in February during the winter upgrades. In FIFA 20, however, he is expected to be the top defender with a rating of 91.
