Fortnite Secret Skirmish: Where to Watch and Schedule of the $500,000 Event

Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite: Battle Royale, announced in January the Secret Skirmish event where the top 100 players from all the Open Fortnite Events held so far would compete against each other at an undisclosed location.

The event boasts both the Solos and the Duos competitions where players compete for a combined prize pool of $500,000 - $400,000 for the Solos competition and $100,000 for the Duos competition.

When is Fortnite Secret Skirmish?

The event will take place over two days.

14 February 2019 - 1-5:30 PM PST

15 February 2019 - 1-5:30 PM PST

Day One features the Duos competitions while the Day Two hosts the Solos competition.

Where to watch Fortnite Secret Skirmish?

Epic Games has announced that the event would be streamed live across all their social media handles. Fortnite’s official Twitch channel will also stream the event from Day One.

What is the format of the Fortnite Secret Skirmish event?

Day One - Duos

Participants will compete in six Duos matches and will be ranked on the following basis:

• Victory Royale: 3 Points
• 2nd-3rd Place: 2 Points
• 4th-5th Place: 1 Point
• 8+ Eliminations: 3 Points
• 6-7 Eliminations: 2 Points
• 4-5 Eliminations: 1 Point

After eight eliminations, a bonus point is added for each elimination. At the end of the event, the top-10 placed teams will be awarded prizes.

Day Two - Solos

Like the Duos event, participants will be allowed to participate in six Solos matches and will be ranked accordingly.

• Victory Royale: 3 Points
• 2nd-3rd Place: 2 Points
• 4th-5th Place: 1 Point
• 7+ Eliminations: 3 Points
• 5-6 Eliminations: 2 Points
• 3-4 Eliminations: 1 Point

After seven eliminations, a bonus point is awarded for every other elimination. At the end of the event, the top-20 placed participants will be awarded prizes.

In both the events, tiebreakers are decided in the following order:

• Total points scored
• Total Victory Royales in the session
• Total eliminations in the session
• Average placement across any matches in the session
• Time spent alive in all the sessions
• Coin flip
