HoYoverse is finally bringing back Kazuha in the second phase of the upcoming Genshin Impact 3.7 update. He is one of the game's most popular and powerful characters, bringing so much to the team. Thanks to his ability to swirl elements and buff the team's Elemental damage, he is one of the characters most Genshin Impact players wish to have in their party.

As Kazuha's rerun banner gets closer, there might be some fans who already have him at C0 but are considering getting his C2 or his signature weapon, Freedom Sworn. That raises the question of which one will contribute more to their account.

Genshin Impact: Which is better, C2 Kazuha or R1 Freedom-Sworn?

Let's start with Kazuha's C2, which grants the following effects after he uses his burst:

  • Increases Kaedehara Kazuha's own Elemental Mastery by 200 for its duration.
  • Increases the Elemental Mastery of characters within the field by 200.

His Poetics of Fuubutsu passive ability can increase the team's Elemental DMG by 0.04% of his total Elemental Mastery, which means the team will gain an extra 8% damage boost by unlocking his C2. Thus, it is safe to say that Kazuha's second constellation is really good and even one of the best in Genshin Impact.

However, there are other factors that you must keep in mind, such as the investments that will be required to get a C2. In the worst-case scenario that you lose all your 50-50s, you might have to spend over 50000 Primogems just to get two extra copies of him.

Freedom-Sworn

Freedom-Sworn has a Base ATK of 608, which is pretty decent, but that is not the main selling point of this weapon. It provides 198 Elemental Mastery to its wielder from its secondary stat, which is huge. Moving on to its passive effects at refinement one, the equipping character will gain a 10% DMG increase.

On top of that, when the wielder triggers an Elemental Reaction, they will gain a Sigil of Rebellion, and this effect can be triggered every 0.5 seconds. Stacking two Sigils and consuming them will buff the entire party's Normal, Charged, and Plunging DMG by 16% and increase their ATK by 20% for 12 seconds.

Freedom-Sworn is a great weapon, but its only issue is that it is a limited item and can only be obtained from the weapon banner.

Which should you choose?

Kazuha's C2 is really good, but a C0 version can pretty much do everything that a C2 can except provide a slightly lesser damage buff. At the same time, Freedom-Sworn is one of the best support swords in Genshin Impact. The difference in the damage boost between the two won't be that big, with his C2 being slightly better in teams that rely on reaction damage, like Melt and Vaporize.

That said, Freedom-Sworn can work on any team in Genshin Impact and will be better for those teams that don't rely on reaction damage, such as Freeze teams. Another major point is that it will be available on Genshin Impact 3.7's weapon banner featuring Light of Foliar Incision, which is a really good weapon, so even if one loses on this banner, it will be worth it.

Thus, it is safe to say that Freedom-Sworn has better value in version 3.7 because the return on investment will be more than Kazuha's second constellation.
