What can we expect from Frostpunk 2?
From a story perspective, Frostpunk 2 is set 30 years after the first iteration. While the initial title continues with the discovery and utilization of coal as its primary resource, the initial hours of the sequel lead to the discovery of oil as the material source of fuel for the city.
Although Oil won't help players fuel through the cold winter nights, it will be the primary resource responsible for growing their entire economy. The goal is to thrive, not merely survive.
The latest sequel also introduces the concept of a Council Hall. It will feature a democratic township, and players will no longer be the sole rulers of their state.
