Many players are facing performance issues in Apex Legends after the Season 21 mid-season update. These issues have been common since the release of Season 21 on May 7, 2024. However, they have become worse after the arrival of the Double Take Collection event. Since then, players have had to deal with constant FPS drops in battle royale matches and multiplayer modes.
Players have taken to Reddit to express their worries about the performance glitches in Apex Legends. In a post, u/Ok-Remote-6825 discussed a decrease in average in-game FPS, which drops from 160 to 100 and sometimes even lower. This FPS drop is impacting gameplay and making the shooter nearly unplayable.
u/EternalVirgin18 reported experiencing a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error after spending five minutes in Apex Legends. This error occurs when Windows faces a system issue that can cause running applications to crash.
