#9 Killing The Dog In Duck Hunt

Nintendo

Duck Hunt was one of the most favorite games in our childhood as it had some real action involved with a laser gun shooting at the ducks that appear in your television screens. Its pretty obvious that all people who have played this game must have noticed a Dog happily applauding you when you sucessfully kill a Duck, but if you miss he used to giggle at you which definitely made you angry and made you take a shot at him. But the game was not designed in a way that you could shoot the K9.

#7 Final Fantasy VIIIs Squall Is Dead For The Second Half Of The Story

Squall, the main character in Final Fantasy VIII, and the legend about him was that he was dead. This news emerged at the end of disc one where he seems impaled by an ice shard while fighting Edea, but when you start the disc two he seems to be normal and no signs of wounds too.

So many people thought that Squall was dead and what we see in disc two is simply a dream Squall is having. The game also seems to be far from real in the second half supporting this fact. At the end of the game we also see a collage of images, among one is a picture of Squall with no face, which gives something more for the fans to discuss.

#6 There\'s a Sex Minigame in \'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas\'

#5 Super Mario Bros Flagpole

Nintendo

Accept it, we all have tried to jump past the flag pole in Mario. It was one the most often attempted tricks in the history of gaming. The two actual possible ways to do it was :
One involves a glitch on World 1-1 that abuses the vertical and horizontal looping that occurs when playing the game on a widescreen TV and the Second was the less “cheaty” way, involves using a platform on a string on World 3-3.
We all believed that it was possible to do it at the end of every level, but it was not true.

#3 Fallout 3 predicts the future.

The myth about Fallout3 goes that the game actually predicts the future. It all started in the game’s radio station called as the 'Galaxy News Radio' controlled by a man called Three Dog, if you kill this man, he will be replaced by his assistant called Margaret. Then when you skip past this level and then destroy Raven Rock, GNR will occasionally turn into a 'numbers station'. These allegedly exist in real life - radio transmissions which are heavily coded, most likely relaying military data.

These supposed numbers station's codes were different and were interpreted as dates, before talking about things in our world. The below mentioned were the supposed meesages buried in the game:

  • “The Queen has died today. The world mourns, as on days like these we are all Brits.” 4:02 March 19, 2014
  • Have you watched my YouTube video yet, I uploaded myself kicking bums in the nuts.” 24:16 December 24, 2012
  • I can’t believe Britney’s actually won an Oscar!” 21:33 February 27, 2023
  • I can’t believe they’ve actually done it. Not long left. They were warned, but they just had to keep pushing the boundaries of science. The noise. I can’t take the noise anymore. And the light, dear God! The universe is slowly unraveling around us. I’m not going to wait for death. I have a pistol in the attic.” This is actually the only message not preceded by a string of numbers.

Aeris’s death was one of the most heart touching scenes in video game history. Even though you want to bring her back to life , no amount of Phoenix Downs you use can revive her.

The myth about this was that it was possible to bring her back and there was an appearance in the church in Midgar resembling her. None of this was true and we had to digest the fact that she was dead and how much ever we try using the cheat codes, she ain’t coming back.
