As the saying goes,”Never judge a book by its cover”. In accordance to that, we should never judge a game based on its length span. The elements that make a game good is its content, gameplay and voice overs. We tend to dislike a couple of games for their short length, but there are games which in spite of ending too fast leaves an impression behind. So, here are games which despite having a short length left us amazed.
#7 Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

The game was a re-invention for the “Prince of Persia” series. Released in 2004, the game was met with a huge fan base who loved the new Prince, and the new elements introduced were also much appreciated. The story was short and with a lot of twists. The key attraction of the game remains the “Sands of Time” which allows you to go back to time and change things.
The game proved to be both commercial and critical success, which led on to form a trilogy commonly known as the “Prince of Persia Trilogy”. The other two games of the series, “The Warrior Within” and “The Two Thrones” also met with good response from the audience and the critics.
#6 Journey
Released in 2012 exclusively for the PS3 and PS4. In Journey, the player controls a robed figure in a vast desert, traveling towards a mountain in the distance. In the game, the only mode of communication is through a musical chime.
The game impressed the critics and earned several “Game of the Year” awards for its beautiful visual presentation and musical theme. It currently holds a score of 9 out of 10, both in GameSpot and IGN websites.

This first person game is one of a kind game. At first, when it was revealed that the game span would be for max 5 hours, everyone thought what would the game contain? And the game answered this question boldly with its amazing storyline and challenging puzzles.
Solving puzzles is the most challenging and interesting part of the game, wherein you have to find your way thourgh portals to complete the game.The game was critical acclaim and widespread fan base.
#4 Vanquish
This is one of the underrated games out there. When released, the game didn’t gain any limelight but it did surprise the critics with it’s short but gripping storyline and the mind-boggling gameplay. The game was released for Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles.
Developed by SEGA, the game was first released in Japan for which the game was under development for 3 years. The game gained the fame for introducing several new elements in the gamin world like the 2D bullet hell shooters beat 'em up elements and an original sliding-boost mechanic.
#3 Max Payne 2
The sequel to the Remedy’s “Max Payne” was even more intriguing than it’s predecessor. The game builds up the right amount of tension and the sense of vengeance. It’s astonishing to see how they could fit all this in the short story.
During the course of the game, you actually feel pity for Max, and you keep on thinking “Dude, how much can you endure?”. Without any doubt, the best part of the game remains the “Bullet Time” feature.
#2 Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
This installment of the game serves as a prologue to the game’s next big installment, “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain”. Here we see the veteran covert operator Snake infiltrating a terrorist camp and rescuing several of his colleagues.
The story was short and effective. The gameplay had several new elements, and for the first time, MGS goes open world. The amount of tension created during the game is very intense and successfully builds up the story for “The Phantom Pain”.
#1 Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
The latest installment of the Call of Duty, which was released last year left a very good impression in the minds of the fans. The story was short, straight and simple. But, what a story it was. And the most amazing part of the game was to see the legendary Kevin Spacey in the game.
The gameplay was extremely fluent and even for a person new to the CoD universe, it was easy to get along with. The game porved to be both a critical and commercial success.
