A long, long time ago, citizens of the good old U.S of A thought that the greatest source of entertainment a man could ever get was in the casinos of Las Vegas. Then god implanted the beautiful idea of video games in man’s imagination and the rest, as they say, is history. The world has seen millions of video game since their inception in the late ‘40s, and while some have rapidly faded away from people’s memories, others have carved a permanent niche for themselves in history and are still loved, and played by countless gamers all over the world even today.Keeping that in mind, I present to you 10 video games you can play over and over again.
#1 Super Mario Bros

Not giving this phenomenal, beloved video game the top spot on this list would be a heinous crime. Super Mario Bros has really stood the test of time in a world filled with sophisticated graphics and next generation consoles, and is still loved by millions of hardcore gamers despite initially releasing over 30 years ago. The world’s love affair with the Italian plumber clearly isn’t over, and it’ll most likely never be.
#2 Pac Man
No list of replay- able games would ever be complete without the inclusion of this work of art. Not only is Pac-Man one of the highest grossing games of all time, but also a major entertainer as there’s just something about eating dots like nobody’s business and ‘killing’ ghost while you’re at it.
People all over the world clearly showed that their affection for the game hadn’t dimmed when Google released a doodle back in 2010 to commemorate the game’s 30th anniversary. Such was the impact of the Pac-Man doodle, that companies all over the world experienced a drop in productivity. Whenever you’re feeling down and out, Pac-Man is the perfect stress buster.
#3 Call Of Duty: World At War
Six editions of CoD have released since this game came out, but World At War still manages to stand out from the rest and remains a firm favourite among fans of the franchise. Some of the main reasons for World At War’s phenomenal success were its stunning, extremely realistic graphics, as well as its brilliant storyline, which was as close as one could get to experience the horrors of World War II.
Needless to say, all these factors helped World At War fly off the shelves, making it the second best selling CoD of all time, and one of the most replay-able games ever made.
#4 Breakout
American video game developer Atari were the brains behind many of the world’s most loved games, but Breakout is undoubtedly one of their very best which is unsurprising considering it was the brainchild of Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Nolan Bushnell. Breakout derived its charm from simplicity and showed everyone that good games didn’t necessarily have to consist of flashy graphics and weapons. The game is extremely addictive even today, and has spawned numerous clones, a Google one included.
#5 GTA: San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto is one of the most iconic video game franchises of all time, and even though, the series consists of numerous phenomenal games none managed to captivate you more than San Andreas.
Not only does the game have an absolutely brilliant storyline, but also an amazing protagonist in the form of CJ – who does what he does in order to protect his family from harm. Even though, it’s been over a decade since San Andreas’ release the game is still highly addictive, so much so that I myself have played it 15 times and counting.
#6 FIFA
Okay this is the only game where I haven’t given any preference to a particular instalment mostly due to the fact that no matter which version we own we always end up ditching it come September when EA releases the latest instalment.
Needless to say, one of the main reasons for FIFA’s addictiveness is due the fact that it’s based on the sport we all love very dearly i.e football. Other reasons for FIFA’s awesomeness include it's highly captivating Manager Mode, graphics which get better with every passing year and last but not least its Ultimate Team feature. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that a chunk of our year goes playing EA Sports’ masterpiece.
#7 Halo 3
Did you really expect this list to go by without Halo 3 popping up? There are great games and then there’s Halo 3, which is rightly considered as one of the best games ever developed. Halo 3’s phenomenal multiplayer campaigns have won the hearts of many a gamer, including the Big Bang Theory characters who even have a special night reserved for Halo.
Not enough can be said about the brilliance of Halo 3, but one thing is certain – it’ll go down as one of the most addictive games in the history of humankind in a few years.
#8 Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
Admit it! I’m sure a major part of you guys reading this spend many a joyous hour in a cyber cafe playing Condition Zero with your mates. Despite releasing over a decade ago Counter-Striker: Condition Zero still holds a special place in the hearts of many avid gamers. In fact, I’d go so far as to calling it the Halo: 3 of its time. Condition Zero will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most compelling games ever made.
#9 Hitman: Blood Money
I was torn between Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money, but Blood Money comes out of top because, let’s face it, it’s just too freaking awesome! Agent 47 is at his ruthless best in Blood Money, which boasts of amazing levels, an improved combat system, the ability to use human shields, upgraded weapons as well as many other enhanced features. All these features combined make Blood Money one of the most addictive games out there.
#10 Max Payne
Okay, the Max Payne’s two other sequels weren’t bad at all, but they failed to capture the charm of the original. One of the main reasons I fell in love with Max Payne is its brilliant story as well as its gameplay, which involves actually initiating various sequences in order to get through levels instead of being just a plain, all out shooter. Not to forget the amazing comic cutscenes as well as that extremely challenging blood trail level, which make you want to play Max Payne again and again.
