#8 Manhunt games

The Manhunt franchise is a really hard hitting and violent game which the developers also were uncomfortable with. These are the types of games you just have to take a breather because of how dark the games are. The game's story follows a supposedly executed death row inmate who is forced to participate in a series of snuff films for former film producer and now underground snuff director.

The game was received well by the critics, but it still remained in the spotlight and constantly faced conroversies due to the disturbing violence shown in the game. In several countries inculding UK, the game is banned for its gore and bloody gameplay.

#7 Mass Effect

The only that makes me angry is the extensive focus of media in the gaming world. This happened at the time of release of Mass Effect. During its release, the game faced the allegation from FOX NEWS that it featured and also promoted nudity of characters. FOX News accused Mass Effect of having full nudity and portrays it as a game that's just all about sex.

Thanks to the development head of the game, Geoff Keighley was there to stick it to this lady's face but that wasn't enough to open her narrow mind. The only explicit content was the bare back and a slight glimpse of Liara's body. You can see the debate here.

This is most sickest game that I have ever come across. Other games just contain foul language and sexual reference, but this game glorifies the concept of rape. The game revolves around a man who wants to stalk and rape a mother and her two daughters. That’s the whole story of the game and all you have to do is follow the instructions.

The game has already been banned in Argentina, Malaysia, and Thailand and you can’t fault them for doing that.

#5 Resident Evil 5

When the Capcom games revealed the gameplay video of Resident Evil 5, the game faced many controversies. The biggest problem that the game faced was “Racism.” In the game, most of the zombies were Africans who were only black and not racially diverse.

However, the game featured mixed zombies and finally the game proved not to be racist.

Everyone loves playing Assassin’s Creed. The game features two situations, one is the present and other is the era where you live the memory of your ancestor using a machine called Animus. The game draws its influence from the acts and real events which happened at that era.

The GTA series is not only famous for it’s open world gameplay, but also the violence which comes along with the game. In the game you have the liberty to throw the person out of his car or bike and steal his ride. Along with this, the game is filled with filthy dialogues, explicit content and sexual references.

The parents got furious when this type of adult content was featured in the games and asked the studios to label the game for the persons who are above 18 years old. Despite the controversies, the GTA series is one of the most widely played games all over the world.
