2013 has been a fruitful year for the year of gaming with releases such as The Last of Us, or Grand Theft Auto V which lighted up the year for gamers. However, there were also some games that were awful, and the developers would even wish that they had never developed the game.Here are the 5 worst games of 2013:

#5 The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct

The Terminal Reality developed game has been disgusting. The Walking Dead; Survival Instinct released on March 19, 2013 and is of the First-person shooter genre. The game’s flat colors and textures, combat with the zombies, oversweating and even the gameplay are sickening.

The game got a rating of 2.5 from the leading game critics. It has also been called a ‘ lazy, cheap, cash grab game which gives licensed games a bad name’.

#4 Star Trek: The Video Game

Most of the movies when converted to video games are awful. Same is the story with Star Trek: The Video Game. The game was released on April 23, 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The animations of the game were terrible and the combat also was dull and disgusting. The bugs added to the awful story for the terrible game.

Star Trek: The Video Game got a rating of 3 from most of the leading game critics.

#3 Fighter Within

The Daoka developed game stands 3rd in the list. Fighter Within is one game that Ubisoft wished it would have not published. The game was available for Xbox One and was released on November 22, 2013 and came under the genre of fighting. The gesture recognition of the game was terrible that you would curse yourself for buying the Kinect.

The game got a rating 1.2 from leading game critics.

#2 Ride to Hell: Retribution

The Eutechynx developed game stands 2nd in the list. It was released on 24 June, 2013 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and belongs to the genre of Action-Adventure. The game’s repititive gameplay, tecnical gameplay and the absurd portrayal of women was under heavy criticism. The graphics, voice control and camera make you tear your hair off for buying the game.

#1 Aliens: Colonial Marines

Topping the list is Aliens: Colonial Marines.

The game was released on February 12, 2013, and was released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It belongs to the First-person shooter genre. The game was criticised for it’s bad A.I, unbalanced gameplay, poor quality of graphics, innumerable bugs and also the terrible multiplayer cooperative mode.

The game was given a rating of 1.0 from leading game critics.
