PES 2015: Best Liverpool team

PES 2015: Best Liverpool team

Liverpool have looked an entirely different team altogether in comparison to last season where they came really close to clinching the Premier League title. A lot of money was spent to reconstruct a squad that could challenge on all fronts but that just hasn’t happended with the team at all and now they are out of the title race and struggling to keep pace with the top four. However, the squad is indeed a good one once you step into the virtual world (similar to bitter rivals Manchester United) with PES 2015. Here’s the best Liverpool team in the game.

#1 Simon Mignolet

Position : GK

Overall Rating : 82

Simon Mignolet has been criticized a lot off late for lack of form and inconsistency. The rumour-mill is up and running about Liverpool already finding a replacement for the Belgian goalkeeper with Brad Jones preferred in goal ahead of him recently.

However, the quality that Mignolet possesses cannot be chalanged. He might be out of form for now, but that can be taken care of once you are in the driving seat. He surely is the first choice keeper in the game.

#2 Kolo Toure

Position : CB

Overall Rating : 83

Kolo Toure is a highly experienced campaigner, having spent his glory days with the likes of Arsenal & Manchester city as a top defender. The Ivory Coast international has recently announced his retirement from international football after the African Cup Of Nations.

The 33-year old is not a regular starter with LIverpool, but does make the cut into our line-up for the Best Liverpool Team in PES 2015. Toure is rated 83 in the game.

#3 Mamadou Sakho

PES 2015: Best Liverpool team

Position : CB

Overall Rating : 85

Mamadou Sakho has brought in a lot of physicality and strength into the Liverpool side. The former PSG man is a really hard tackler and is good in the air, from both attacking and defensive point of view.

The Frenchman is rated 85 in PES 2015, making him the highest rated Liverpool defender in the game. Hence, his inclusion in the first choice XI comes as all but obvious where he pairs with Kolo Toure in central defence.

#4 Glen Johnson

Position : RB

Overall Rating : 77

Glen Johnson has been a sad story this season. Out of form and out of favour, the England right back has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League and outside. He did manage to score the crucial and only goal against Stoke to give his side the three points but other than that, he has been far from impressive and seems destined for an exit.

However, he does feature in our best Liverpool team in PES 2015 with a rating of 77 in the game.

#5 Jose Enrique

PES 2015: Best Liverpool team

Position : LB

Overall Rating : 79

Jose Enrique has had to be content with a bench role this season after falling down the pecking order behind the recently captured Alberto Moreno. The spaniard has struggled for game time and just hasn’t been able to make the most out of his opportunities, which are rare of course.

But well, despite not being the first choice left-back in the LIverpool side, Enrique is the highest rated one in the squad in his position. Rated at 79, he’s our left-back.

#6 Steven Gerrard

Position : CM

Overall Rating : 86

Stevie G has been holding the torch for the Merseysiders for quite sometime now & as he approaches the dusk in his career, its about time Liverpool fans find new shoulders to carry their hopes. The Veteran midfielder is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season for LA Galaxy, having already retired from international football earlier this year.

However, Gerrard is the highest rated Liverpool player in PES 2015 and hence is an obvious inclusion in the ‘best Liverpool team’, as a central midfielder and the skipper.

#7 Lucas Leiva

PES 2015: Best Liverpool team

Position : CM

Overall Rating : 81
Lucas has been featuring every now and then for Liverpool but hasn't been able to do well enough. The Brazillian has been said to be pondering over a move away from the club where he is said to have been under-appericiated.

Whatever the case may be, for now he is a Liverpool player and does feature in central midfield alongside Steven Gerrard. He has a rating of 81 in the game.

#8 Coutinho

Position : RM

Overall Rating : 80

Coutinho was the unsung hero of Liverpool last season. His agility and vision have proved crucial for a club who was initially struggling to find positives this season. In today's date, the Brazillian remains one of the hot prospects in football and arguably one of the best in his position in the Premier League.

However, he is still young and there is definitely more to come from the midfielder. He is rated at 80 in the game.

#9 Raheem Sterling

PES 2015: Best Liverpool team

Position : LM

Overall Rating : 83
Raheem Sterling has all what is takes to be a star and is destined to be one in the near future. The youngster had a break-through season last term and has looked to continue his form into this season as well.
His pace and movement with and without the ball have left the defenders dumbstruck on certain occasions and should you be able to use him properly in the game, there is no stopping. Rated at 83, he plays at left midfield.

#10 Daniel Sturridge

Position : CF

Overall Rating : 83
With Luis Suarez gone and Mario Balotelli struggling, Liverpool fans have missed Daniel Sturridge like anything this season. The England striker has missed a huge chunk of the season through injuries and his return is much awaited among the club's supporters.
His goals proved crucial in LIverpool's title charge last season, but this time things have been really different in his absence. He is a sure shot inclusion in the first choice Liverpool XI and is rated at 83.

#11 Mario Balotelli

PES 2015: Best Liverpool team

Position : ST
Overall Rating : 84
Mario Balotelli's capture was a gamble, a gamble which has fired back with the striker failing miserably with Liverpool. The Italian has scored just two goals this season, none of which have come in the Premier League. He has struggled with his finishing and just hasn't looked his feared self.
However, he just cannot be under-estimated in the virtual world where a rating of 84 underlines his capabilities as a striker. He can form a fearsome partnership up front with Sturridge.
