A beta was launched one month back to make sure that the system update is released without any hiccups. Selected users were given a chance to test how the system update performs.
The last few updates were minor additions just to stabilize the system. The last major update was version 2.50 which included features such as the putting the console on rest mode, uploading videos onto Dailymotion, 60fps share play etc. The major feature of the update was related to trophies such as the ability to delete trophies with 0% completion, ability to share screenshot of trophy along with the screenshot of the game at time the trophy was unlocked.
The long awaited feature “Changing the PSN ID” is still lost in the woods. We can only expect SONY to comment on that soon enough.
