Genshin Impact 4.8: Emilie's elemental burst animation changes

Fresh leaks from the Genshin Impact version 4.8 beta indicate that the developers may have reworked the elemental burst animation of the upcoming Fontaine character, Emilie. Officials have confirmed she will debut in the upcoming update, set to go live on July 17, 2024.

While Emilie has been mentioned in the voice lines of other characters, she has yet to appear in the game. The lore suggests she is a well-known perfumer at the Court of Fontaine, and her leaked animations surely reflect that.

Upon casting Emilie's elemental burst in Genshin Impact, the camera shifts to a close-up of her summoning a Lumidouce Case. She can be seen on the right-hand side of the screen with the case on the left. During this scene, she extends her right hand toward the case and is surrounded by a light-green Dendro aura, as shown in the footage above.

While the older animation featured Emilie on the extreme right of the screen with a more sideward camera angle, focusing on the left-hand side of the face, the new one takes a more centered approach.

Emilie is completely in the frame now, with an added blur on the case to emphasize her, as shown in the above embed.

Moreover, the previous iteration included the character only until the shoulders, whereas the newly leaked shows more of the character's hands and torso.
