Genshin Impact 4.8 Simulanka map creatures: Origami animals and mechanics explained

Genshin Impact version 4.8 will introduce a new region called Simulanka. As with every other region introduced in the summer patches, this will also be a temporary region. It will only be available after the release of version 4.8 on July 17 and will last until the end of the patch. Simulanka is a mysterious new area with exciting places to explore, tiny origami creatures to accompany players on their journeys, and various novel gameplay mechanics.

Paper frogs: Gameplay mechanics

Found in the Rainsong Pond, paper frogs are tiny origami animals that are expert jumpers. After meeting them, players can team up with them and complete different types of puzzles, as listed below.

1) Leaping puzzles

To solve these types of puzzles, players will need to time their movements along with the paper frogs. Choose the required direction as well as the distance of the frogs' leaps and reach the finish line on time.

2) Song and dance performances

To successfully complete the performances of the frog choirs, players need to accurately time the jumps of the frog on the right to match the other frogs' jumps. Doing so will help complete the frogs' performances, during which players will also be treated to a song and dance show.

Flying squirrels: Gameplay mechanics

Players will get to meet tiny origami flying squirrels belonging to the Kingdom of Breezes and Bells. These flying squirrels have prepared different flight-related challenges for players to participate in.

To complete these challenges, players will need to help command the squirrels to fly through the flower garlands and reach the flower balls.

Paper Alpacas: Gameplay mechanics

Players can find special trios including two paper alpacas in Simulanka, preparing to mix drinks.

To complete mixing drinks successfully, players need to tug on the magical threads located on the backs of the paper alpacas to move them in the right direction.
