Genshin Impact 4.8 Spiral Abyss: Best teams, strategies, and tips
As with most Spiral Abyss cycles, different team compositions are necessary for challenging different floors. Here are the best teams that can be used for clearing Floors 9 to 12 in Genshin Impact 4.8 Spiral Abyss.
Floor 9
The Ley Line disorder for Floor 9 buffs Vaporize reactions, so building team compositions based on this will be helpful. These are the best teams and strategies to use in Floor 9:
First half
- Arlecchino + Yelan + Kazuha + Baizhu
- Neuvillette + Xiangling + Kazuha + Bennett
- Childe + Kazuha + Xiangling + Bennett
- Yoimiya + Yelan + Zhongli + Yunjin
Second half
- Neuvillette + Furina + Venti + Kokomi
- Raiden + Xingqiu + Xiangling + Bennett
- Childe + Nahida + Xiangling + Baizhu
- Raiden + Nahida + Kazuha + Kokomi
Most enemies in both halves of Floor 9 consist of mobs that can easily be crowd-controlled. Bringing an anemo crowd-control unit like Kazuha and Venti, along with characters who can deal Vaporize reactions quickly is the key to clearing Floor 9 in 4.8 Spiral Abyss.
Floor 10
The Ley Line disorder for Floor 10 buffs Hydro damage dealt by characters. The best teams and strategies for this floor are as follows:
First half
- Arlecchino + Yelan + Kazuha + Baizhu
- Arlecchino + Yelan + Zhongli + Bennett
- Childe + Kazuha + Xiangling + Bennett
- Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Baizhu
Second half
- Raiden Shogun + Furina + Xiangling + Bennett
- Hu Tao + Yelan + Zhongli + Xingqiu
- Yelan + Nahida + Kazuha + Kuki Shinobu
- Yae Miko + Nahida + Tighnari + Kokomi
The first half of Floor 10 consists of enemies like Treasure Hoarders, Specters, and Eremites, so an anemo crowd-controller along with a Hydro DPS/sub-DPS is ideal for this half.
The second half of Floor 10 has enemies like Meks, Vishaps, and Ruin Graders, so you don't need a crowd-control unit in this half. Instead, using any well-built Hydro DPS (or any other element DPS you have) with good supports will be enough to fully clear this floor in 4.8 Spiral Abyss.
Floor 11
The Ley Line disorder for Floor 11 gives all party members a 60% Electro and Hydro damage bonus. Here are the best teams and tips you can use for Floor 11:
First half
- Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Baizhu
- Nilou + Nahida + Kazuha + Baizhu
- Ayaka + Shenhe + Venti + Kokomi
- Yelan + Nahida + Kazuha + Kuki Shinobu
Second half
- Arlecchino + Kazuha + Bennett + Zhongli
- Raiden Shogun + Venti + Xiangling + Bennett
- Clorinde + Furina + Kazuha + Xiangling
- Alhaitham + Nahida + Yelan + Kuki Shinobu
The most challenging chamber of Floor 11 is Monolith defense, filled with Pyro, Electro, Hydro, and Cryo slimes. Since the first half has Pyro and Electro slimes, any Hydro DPS with an anemo crowd-control unit should be good enough to beat this floor. The second half has Hydro and Cryo slimes, so focus on a Pyro or Electro DPS for this half.
The rest of the chambers have enemies like Geovishaps, Phantasms, Ruin Drakes, and the Jadeplume Terrorshroom, all of which need a good DPS-oriented team to clear and obtain all the rewards for this floor in 4.8 Spiral Abyss.
Floor 12
Floor 12 of Spiral Abyss has no Ley Line disorder, and the enemies on this floor are extremely strong. The various teams and strategies that can be used to clear this floor in 4.8 Spiral Abyss are,
First half
- Clorinde + Nahida + Yae Miko + Kokomi
- Alhaitham + Nahida + Xingqiu + Kuki Shinobu
- Raiden Shogun + Sara + Yelan + Bennett
- Arlecchino + Yelan + Nahida + Kuki Shinobu
The first two chambers in the first half of Floor 12 consist of enemies like Eremites, Primal Constructs, Ruin Guards, Ruin Drakes, and Maguu Kenki. Defeating these enemies needs a dedicated team of any well-built DPS along with their supports.
You will specifically need an Electro-Dendro team for the third chamber, where the enemy is ASIMON (Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network). To beat ASIMON in time, being able to trigger quick Electro and Dendro reactions is essential. Bringing along a Hydro character in this team will be even more helpful by triggering hyperbloom reactions, thus defeating the enemies in record time.
Second half
- Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Baizhu
- Neuvillette + Furina + Zhongli + Baizhu
- Childe + Kazuha + Xiangling + Bennett
- Nilou + Nahida + Kokomi + Baizhu
The second half of Floor 12 has enemies like Pyro Abyss mages, Abyss Lectors, Kairagis, Meks, Rifthounds, Sternshield Crabs and Consecrated animals. Many of these enemies are weak to Hydro, so choosing teams based on Hydro characters and reactions is the easiest way to clear these chambers in 4.8 Spiral Abyss. Avoid using Pyro characters (unless they're supports like Bennett), as they'll be useless against the shields of Pyro mages and Pyro Lectors.
