Genshin Impact 5.0 - 5.2 Natlan map expansions and area sizes leaked

The Pyro nation of Natlan is set to be introduced in the forthcoming Genshin Impact version 5.0. Travelers can visit this new region to explore its unique terrains and geography. However, the new map expansion will not release Natlan in its entirety. Initially, the developers will only be adding a part of it.

Like older nations, Natlan is expected to undergo a map expansion with subsequent updates. HoYoverse will gradually introduce parts of the Pyro nation as the narrative progresses.

Recent leaks on social media have disclosed the sizes of each Natlan map expansion that is to be released between version 5.0 and 5.2. It provides insight into what the areas entail and where they are located on the Teyvat map.

u/Pap22 recently shared an interesting infographic on the Genshin Impact leaks subreddit which has subsequently been approved by the moderators. It includes a map showcasing an overview of the entirety of Natlan as well as the areas within.

While several reliable leakers have already revealed the areas of Natlan accessible in version 5.0, the areas coming in future upgrades remained shrouded in mystery before these leaks.

The above embed showcases the leaked map of the Genshin Impact 5.0 update, courtesy of Team Mew. The area on the top-right is likely to connect the region with Sumeru, allowing Travelers to enter the Pyro nation.

The new leak suggests that version 5.0 may only include the areas of four of the leaked six tribes of Natlan—The Children of the Echoes (Geo tribe), People of the Springs (Hydro tribe), Scions of Canopy (Dendro tribe), and the Flower-Feather Clan.

The 5.1 update is expected to add a map expansion towards the west, encompassing an area that may be a bit smaller than that of the 5.0 map. Leaks suggest this expansion may include the Great Volcano of Turlan area which may be the habitat of another tribe called Master of the Night-Wind.

Lastly, the leaks imply the version 5.2 map expansion will extend the region to the northwest. The area of this may be similar to that of the upcoming 5.0 map. It is expected to include the habitat of the sixth tribe, Collective of Plenty as well as a distinct region called Xochicanatlan, which is suspected to be Old Natlan.
