Genshin Impact's version 5.0 is set to introduce several Quality-of-Life (QoL) changes to the game. Multiple renowned leakers like HomDGCat, FouL, and Jokerverse have shared that following the Natlan region's release, the developers will add a new type of gadget that would let players produce custom artifacts. It is suspected to be a part of the sigil-offering mechanism.

According to HomDGCat's information, Travelers may be able to use a gadget that looks like a typewriter to create particular artifact pieces from any artifact set introduced before version 5.0. As such, it will enable fans to craft missing artifacts for any of their non-Natlan character builds and select the main stat and a few sub-stats.

However, players must note that using the artifact maker gadget may require them to use a new special type of material that looks like a purple colored bottle with a yellow ribbon.

Leaks suggest that starting from v5.0, players will be able to destroy artifacts to create either of the following:

• New artifact maker material
• Artifact EXP material

This would allow them to gather the artifact-making material to use in the new gadget. Aside from that, there may also be other sources for it.

According to the leaks, the artifact maker gadget may unlock at Level 10 of the sigil system, and the required resource will be given out at every 10 levels. Moreover, it is expected that the artifact-making material may be a reward for the new iteration of the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass.

Fans should note that while this new feature will certainly ease their gameplay, there may be some restrictions regarding selecting sub-stats in the new gadget. It is expected to require a certain amount of time to build an artifact piece.
