Capitano vs Mavuika battle cutscene in Genshin Impact 5.0 trailer
The first half of the 5.0 trailer gives a brief prelude to the current situation of Natlan, which is facing an impending crisis. The Abyss Order has been trying to exert its dominance over Natlan, and Mavuika mentions that the nation is very close to total devastation.
It is in such a situation that Il Capitano makes his appearance and his opening words to Mavuika are:
"What use is the Gnosis in your hands?"
Following this, the two have a verbal confrontation where Capitano tells Mavuika that her plan has reached a dead end, and it is now time for him to take matters into his own hands. This implies that Capitano is not satisfied with Mavuika's plans for saving the nation, which also suggests that he might have his own plans to keep Natlan from being defeated by the Abyss.
Their verbal confrontation soon turns into a battle, as Mavuika declares that they should let their blades do the talking instead. Both Capitano and Mavuika unsheathe their weapons and lunge at each other in a brilliant spectacle of fire versus ice.
The implications of this battle are yet unknown, although it does seem like both Mavuika and Capitano share a common goal. However, players will have to wait till the release of version 5.0 to find out more about the outcome of the battle shown in the cutscene, as well as Capitano's overall involvement in the Natlan storyline.
