System and QOL optimizations
As discussed in the Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream, several new system updates and QOL optimizations have been added for version 5.1 of Genshin Impact. These include
1) Limited-time area exploration rewards
As announced in the Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream, starting from the next version, a total of 400 Primogems will be available for exploring new areas within two versions from their date of release. Players who have already reached up to 80% exploration for the area launched in 5.0 can claim their rewards once version 5.1 is released.
2) Skip feature added in Spiral Abyss
Starting from version 5.1, players will be able to skip Floors 9 and 10 of the Spiral Abyss, provided Floor 12 has been cleared with full stars in the previous Spiral Abyss phase. After skipping Floors 9 and 10, the Spiral Abyss challenge for the current phase will start from Floor 11.
Similarly, players who have cleared Floor 11 with full stars in the previous Spiral Abyss phase can skip Floor 9 and directly start from Floor 10 in the current phase.
3) Artifact set filtering revamped
Starting from Genshin Impact 5.1, the system will remember and save your artifact set filters for each character, so that you don't have to separately set the filters every time. A mechanic for sorting by Affixes for an individual artifact slot has also been added.
4) Character building and material crafting optimized
Starting from version 5.1, players will now be able to see the number of objects that can be crafted directly from the inventory. For example, if you select the Polarizing Prism, for example, the system will now display to you exactly how many Polarizing Prisms you can craft with the current materials you have.
Additionally, you can now select characters directly from the Crafting Bench to see and calculate all the materials needed for their character and weapon ascensions as well as leveling up their talents. The materials you need to craft any of the aforementioned materials will now automatically be calculated and displayed, making the whole process a lot more efficient and easy.
These were the major takeaways of the Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream.
