Leaks hint at Elemental Reaction multipliers buffs in Genshin Impact 5.2
According to the leaks via HomDGCat on X, the developers are expected to buff four Elemental Reactions and increase their base DMG multiplier in the upcoming Genshin Impact 5.2 update. As mentioned, the reactions include Superconduct, Overload, Shatter, and Electro-Charged reaction DMG. It is also important to note that these changes will apply to both characters and enemies.
Listed below are the shared changes in the damage multiplier for these Elemental Reactions:
- Superconduct: 0.5 -> 1.5 (+200%)
- Shatter: 1.5 -> 3 (+100%)
- Electro-Charged: 1.2 -> 2 (+66.7%)
- Overload: 2 -> 2.75 (+37.5%)
With a 200% increase in the base DMG, the Superconduct reaction received the biggest buff among the four reactions. However, it won't necessarily make this reaction any better since it is not very practical and consistent. Moreover, there are currently no characters that can make it work. The same applies to the Shatter reaction, especially against bosses who cannot be frozen.
Meanwhile, the Electro-Charged and Overload can benefit from the buffs, especially the latter since there are characters who do incredibly well in Overload teams. For example, Raiden Shogun with Chevreuse and Kujou Sara are already an amazing team, and this buff will make the Electro Archon even better.
It is also worth adding that these changes may hint at the arrival of some characters who would rely on these four reactions. That said, this is only a speculation.
Naturally, the Elemental Reaction base DMG buff will also make some enemies a lot stronger than they already are, such as the Consecrated Scorpion. The beast can trigger powerful reactions, which can be difficult to survive.
HomDGCat is one of the most reliable sources for beta leaks, so this leak is also likely credible.
