Genshin Impact 5.2 leaks: Two new Saurians and abilities surface

New Genshin Impact 5.2 leaks have hinted that two upcoming Saurians will be available in the game once its new version is released. Saurians are the dragon species of Natlan who live alongside the local citizens and help them out in their day-to-day activities. Natlan's game mechanics also lets players briefly transform into these Saurians and use their traversal skills. Currently, only three Saurians are available in the title, belonging to the three tribes introduced in version 5.0.

Two new Saurians to be introduced in Genshin Impact 5.2, according to leaks

New leaks shared by HomDGCat (reshared by u/ukrisreng on Reddit) have hinted at two new Saurians being introduced in Genshin Impact 5.2. These two Saurians are the Qucusaurs and the Iktomisaurs.

As suggested by previous leaks regarding the six tribes of Natlan, Qucusaurs are the representative Saurians of the Flower-Feather Clan, while Iktomisaurs represent the Masters of the Night Wind tribe.

Incidentally, the two new characters releasing in Genshin Impact 5.2, Chasca and Ororon, also belong to these tribes. Chasca hails from the Flower-Feather Clan tribe, while Ororon belongs to the Masters of the Night Wind tribe. This further backs up the leak about the two new Saurians.

Qucusaurs (Saurians from the Flower-Feather clan)

According to leaks, Qucusaurs' special traversal ability is that they can cover distances by gliding in the air. When they are gliding, they can use Phlogiston (from the players' active Phlogiston bar) to either ascend even higher or to execute a horizontal roll. Holding the sprint button will let the Qucusaurs enter a special accelerated gliding state after performing a horizontal roll.

As with all Saurian traversal abilities, performing these actions will constantly use up Phlogiston from the Phlogiston bar at the bottom of the screen.

Qucusaurs have already made their appearance in Genshin Impact 5.0 as part of the Weighty Wings world quest in Natlan. The Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant Boss is also an evolved version of the standard Qucusaur Saurian.

Iktomisaurs (Saurians from the Masters of the Night Wind tribe)

As disclosed by leaks, Iktomisaurs have a special ability to locate certain hidden murals and objects. After transforming into an Iktomisaurus, players can hold the normal attack button to aim, which will activate the Spiritsepaker state.

Once Iktomisaurs are in this state, they can absorb Phlogiston from nearby objects. They can also reveal special graffiti or hidden objects that have Phlogiston engravings and cause them to be visible for a certain period of time.

Additionally, Iktomisaurs can leap high in the air, and they can also consume extra Phlogiston to perform even higher leaps.
