New tribes and region
According to the livestream, version 5.2 will be released on November 20, 2024, at 11 am (UTC+8). It will introduce a new area called Ochkanatlan. Moreover, the Flower-Feather Clan and Master of the Night-Wind tribes will also be released in this update. It is worth adding that Travelers can also get exploration rewards of up to 400 Primogems, similar to version 5.1.
New companion - Cocouik
Cocouik is a unique creature that will join Travelers during their adventures in Ochknatlan. The new location is restricted due to the excess Abyssal contamination and this creature will help players cleanse it.
New Saurian and abilities
Travelers can look forward to two new types of Saurians in the upcoming update:
- Qucusaur
- Iktomisaur
The Qucusaurs excel at long-distance travel and horizontal flights, making them great for exploration. Meanwhile, the Iktomisaur can leap higher vertically, which increases their aerial agility. They also have special Elemental Sight that allows them to detect hidden objects.
New character gameplay showcase
The version 5.2 livestream also showcased Ororon and Chasca's gameplay. The former is a 4-star Electro unit and the latter is a 5-star Anemo unit. Similar to other Natlan characters, both Ororon and Chasca also have unique abilities that are useful for exploration.

Weapons
The following new weapons will be added in Genshin Impact 5.2:
- Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage (5-star Bow)
- Flower-Wreathed Feathers (4-star Bow)

- Calamity of Eshu (4-star Sword)
Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage is Chasca's signature weapon and Calamity of Eshu is an event weapon. The other two are 4-star gacha weapons.
Tribal Chronicles
The Genshin Impact 5.2 update will also release a new Tribal Chronicles quest, titled Tlalocan, featuring Chasca and her Flower-Feather Clan.
Natlan Archon Quest Interlude
A new Interlude in Natlan's Archon Quest series, titled All Fires Fuel the Flame, will be released in version 5.2. During this quest, Travelers will visit different locations to help those affected by the Abyssal energy, meeting Iansan and Capitano in the process.
Fishing in Natlan
From Genshin Impact 5.2 onward, Travelers will be able to fish in Natlan. Several new species will be introduced, including a lava fish.
New world boss - Tenebrous Papilla
A new world boss called Tenebrous Papilla will also be introduced in version 5.2. Based on the information shared in the livestream, this enemy can mimic other world bosses, including the Maguu Kenki and Millennial Pearl Seahorse.

New support cards for every Elemental Reaction will be added to the new TCG Heated Battle Mode - Automatic Autistry.
Imaginarium Theater Update
Starting with the Genshin Impact 5.2 update, Travelers will not return to the lobby after completing a challenge in the Imaginarium Theater. They can simply click on 'Next Act' to continue to the next stage and keep fighting without interruption. Players will also be able to see who used their characters in the Supporting Cast Record.
Additionally, the Imaginarium Theater will feature recommended role icons and elemental statistics for each challenge.
Other in-game system optimizations
Here are some other in-game system optimizations that players can look forward to in version 5.2:
- Artifacts - Auto-lock update, filtering, and marking feature.
- Serenitea Pot - More space in Seed Dispensary, wood in realm currency shop, and Boon of the Elder Tree's cooldown reduced.
- Crafting/cooking animation - Shorter crafting weapons, items, and cooking animations.
- Treasure Compass - Compass will locate Seelies and Time Trials

Genshin Impact on Xbox
After the version 5.2 update, Travelers will be able to play Genshin Impact on Xbox Series X and S. Logging into the game on these consoles will also give players the Wind Glider - Wings of Fate's Course Intertwined. Additionally, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play the game via Cloud Gaming and will get extra rewards in their in-game mailbox.
