Genshin Impact 5.3 Chronicled Wish characters and rerun banners

The Chronicled Wish banner is finally set to return in the upcoming Genshin Impact 5.3 update. According to the announcement during the official livestream, it will feature characters from Liyue. Moreover, the rules of Chronicled Wish have been slightly adjusted so that characters like Shenhe can feature on it despite not having more than one rerun banner in the past. Chronicled Wish will also feature a weapon banner that will include some event-limited weapons.

Unfortunately, the developers didn't reveal when the Chronicled Wish banner will begin. That said, based on the previous banner, it is safe to say that it will likely be released during the first phase of version 5.3, which will begin on January 1, 2025. However, if it's in the second half, it will be released on January 21, 2025.

The Chronicled Wish rerun banner will feature characters from Liyue, which include the following:

• Baizhu (5-star Dendro - Catalyst)
• Shenhe (5-star Cryo - Polearm)
• Keqing (5-star Electro - Sword)
• Ganyu (5-star Cryo - Bow)
• Xiao (5-star Anemo - Polearm)
• Tartaglia (5-star Hydro - Bow)
• Qiqi (5-star Cryo - Sword)

As mentioned, the rules of Chronicled Wish were slightly tweaked so that certain characters who haven't had a rerun can be featured on it. Luckily, players who have been waiting for Shenhe's rerun can finally try their luck. Needless to say, there will be a 50-50 chance of getting the desired character.

It is worth highlighting that the banner also features Childe. While originally from Snezhnaya, he was introduced during the Liyue storyline and is generally associated with the Geo nation, which could be why he is on the Chronicled Wish.

• Primordial Jade Cutter (5-star Sword)
• Summit Shaper (5-star Sword)
• The Unforged (5-star Claymore)
• Calamity Queller (5-star Polearm)
• Primordial Jade-Winged Spear (5-star Polearm)
• Jadefall's Splendor (5-star Catalyst)
• Memory of Dust (5-star Catalyst)
• Polar Star (5-star Bow)
• Amos' Bow (5-star Bow)

Unsurprisingly, all the weapons are also Liyue-based and most are event-limited.
