Genshin Impact 5.3 events and rewards

The Genshin Impact 5.3 update will be released on January 1, 2025, and the recent livestream revealed all the upcoming events that Travelers can look forward to. This includes the popular Lantern Rite festival and other minor events that players can participate in to obtain several in-game rewards, such as a free 4-star character from Liyue, Primogems, Xiangling's new outfit, Mora, and more.

Springtime Charms - Lantern Rite festival

Springtime Charms is the flagship event of the Genshin Impact 5.3 update and will feature the Lantern Rite festival. According to the developers, this year's Lantern Rite will be very interesting, so players can look forward to it.

The event will feature the following minigames:

• Immortal Combat
• Drills by Lamplight
• Custom Gift Envelope

The first minigame, Immortal Combat, is a puzzle game similar to Tetris. Travelers can pick different characters (rattan figures) and duel others while trying to connect multiple blocks of the same type to clear the field. This will allow the selected character to unleash different moves and defeat the opponent. Travelers can also play this game in co-op mode.

The second gameplay mode is called Drills by Lamplight. It is a combat-based mini-game in which Travelers can form different strategies to defeat the opponents while completing the specified goals and earning points.

The last mini-game in Genshin Impact 5.3's Springtime Charms is the Custom Gift Envelope. As the name suggests, players can create "Gift Envelopes" and send them to their companions at their request to earn recognition and rewards.

Emblem of Steadfast Valor is one of the three minor events in version 5.3. During the event, Travelers can participate in specially crafted challenges scattered across the tribes of Natlan. Each trial will be themed on the tribe's Saurian abilities, and players must complete all these challenges along with some additional objectives.

Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Browl
