The upcoming Genshin Impact 5.3 update will celebrate arguably the game's most popular event, the Lantern Rite festival. Similar to the previous versions of the event, Travelers can complete its quests to obtain one 4-star character from Liyue of their choice for free. This means all players have a chance to get more Constellations or a new unit they don't already have. Luckily, the options also include the new 4-star unit, Lan Yan.

As mentioned, the Genshin Impact 5.3 update will celebrate the Lantern Rite festival. It is one of the most popular events in the game, and its new upcoming iteration is called Springtime Charms. Travelers can participate in the event and complete all the quests to get a chance to invite a 4-star character from Liyue.

• Gaming (4-star Pyro)
• Beidou (4-star Electro)
• Chongyun (4-star Cryo)
• Lan Yan (4-star Anemo)
• Ningguang (4-star Geo)
• Xiangling (4-star Pyro)
• Yaoyao (4-star Dendro)
• Yanfei (4-star Pyro)
• Yun Jin (4-star Geo)
• Xinyan (4-star Pyro)

Needless to say, the lineup features all the 4-star characters from Liyue. This is a great chance for players, especially beginners, to get a new character they don't already have or a higher Constellation to make them stronger. For example, units like Xiangling are already good at lower Constellations, but her C6 can make her even more amazing.

Fortunately, the 4-star character selector also includes the new Anemo character Lan Yan, so one can also pick her if they have all the old Liyue characters. She is a pretty nice unit that can provide a shield to the party. She is also good for exploration, as she can teleport to higher locations (similar to Keqing and Alhaitham).
