Latest Genshin Impact leaks show information about new character possibly named Akkefi/Effie

Ever since HoYoverse revealed the silhouettes of all the upcoming playable characters in Genshin Impact, the playerbase has been actively discussing the possible identities of the characters that are still unknown. Amongst them is a character that has been nicknamed the "chef girl", owing to the chef hat on her head and the kitchen knife in her hand.

This character — the one on the extreme right of the lineup— has caught many players' interest. Fortunately, recent leaks have delved into this figure.

In a leak shared by prominent leaker hxg_diluc and DK2, the name of this chef girl has been mentioned. According to this leak, her name might either be Akkefi or Effie. Since her name has been translated from the Chinese version, either of these names could be applicable.

Confirmation regarding her name will only be available when HoYoverse officially introduces her.

Another leak from hxg_diluc and Full Stop Chan has hinted at her rarity and the nation to which she belongs. According to this leak, Akkefi or Effie might be a 5-star character hailing from Fontaine.

The last Fontaine 5-star character to be released in Genshin Impact was Emilie in version 4.8. If this leak regarding Akkefi/Effie belonging from Fontaine does turn out to be true, then a new Fontaine 5-star character will be added to the playable character roster after quite some time.

Regardless, this is still mere speculation and players should wait for more information (either via leaks or official confirmation from HoYoverse) regarding this mysterious "chef girl".
