The Developers Discussion posted on Genshin Impact's official X account introduced several new features that will be added to Genshin Impact in version 5.2. Among them is one that will buff the base DMG of four elemental reactions, namely:
- Overloaded
- Superconduct
- Electro-Charged
- Shatter
These buffs will be applied starting from Genshin Impact 5.2 and will be closely monitored by the developers even after release to ensure a seamless combat experience. The four particular elemental reactions took a backseat for quite some time, as they were replaced by reactions with more frontloaded damage and higher multipliers.
Now, with the addition of this buff that will increase the base damage of these reactions, they can once again find a place in the meta and have more team compositions built around them.

Genshin Impact 5.2 leaks provide detailed numbers for the Elemental Reaction buffs
Previously, version 5.2 leaks had disclosed this upcoming buff, which is now officially confirmed. Leaker HomDGCat provided details regarding the buff, including the exact numbers and multipliers. According to the leak, these are the multipliers by which the base reaction DMG will be increased for the four aforementioned reactions:
- Superconduct: 0.5 -> 1.5 (+200% DMG increase)
- Shatter: 1.5 -> 3 (+100% DMG increase)
- Electro-Charged: 1.2 -> 2 (+66.7% DMG increase)
- Overload: 2 -> 2.75 (+37.5% DMG increase)
As seen from these leaks, Superconduct is the reaction to receive the biggest DMG boost, with a 200% base DMG buff. Shatter has received a 100% DMG boost, followed by Electro-Charged and Overload with significant DMG buffs. Players who like building teams based around these reactions can finally do so without worrying about the team damage output being very low.
