Genshin Impact Envisaged Echoes permanent game mode guide

Envisaged Echoes is a new permanent endgame gameplay mode that will be introduced in version 4.8 of Genshin Impact. It will be a part of Imaginarium Theater, which was launched in Genshin Impact version 4.7. Once the 4.8 update is live, players will come across a shining canvas in a corner of the Imaginarium Theater, interacting with which, will take players to the permanent challenge mode.

While being a part of Imaginarium Theater, Envisaged Echoes is a more challenging gameplay mode that requires players to be well-versed with advanced gameplay mechanics and character-building. Strategy is key in this game mode, and players need to come up with various new approaches to complete this challenge.

Envisaged Echoes: Eligibility

There are a few requirements that have to be met before players can take part in the new gameplay mode:

• Players need to be at Adventure Rank 35 or above.
• Players need to finish at least one performance of Imaginarium Theater while having reached Act 6, or higher.

Imaginarium Theater itself requires players to be at Adventure Rank 25 before being able to access it. Since Envisaged Echoes is a more challenging gameplay mode, the eligibility level for it is even higher.

The Envisaged Echoes gameplay mode is centered specifically around a limited line-up of characters. After this new gameplay mode is available for the first time, there will be character-focused challenges for these characters: Jean, Qiqi, Diluc, Ningguang, and Kirara.

These character pools will change with every season, so players will get to experience more diverse challenges with a varied cast of characters.

Envisaged Echoes: Unlocking character challenges

To unlock a challenge, players will need two 'Keys of Echoes'. When you interact with the canvas and start the gameplay for the first time, you will automatically be given two Keys of Echoes. After that, these can be obtained by completing normal Imaginarium Theater challenges.

Once you have two Keys of Echoes, go ahead and unlock the challenge of whichever character you want (ideally whichever character you have built well). There are, however, a few other conditions that players will need to fulfill before beginning the challenge of any specific character.

These are:

• The character must be at Level 90.
• Players must have a Friendship Level of 8 or higher with the character.

For example, if you have a well-built Jean and want to play her character challenge, you will not only need to have her at Level 90, but you will also have to have her Friendship level at 8 or higher. Once all these conditions have been met, players can start the character challenge.

Keep in mind that you can have a total of four Keys of Echoes in your inventory, and no more. If you play Imaginarium Theater while already having four Keys of Echoes, you will not be able to obtain any more.

Envisaged Echoes: How to play

Once you have selected a character to play the gameplay mode with, you will have to challenge specific exclusive domains to clear the stage.

These domains will have various trials and challenges based on the combat style of the character. Players are advised to thoroughly read through each character's talents and abilities before entering these domains, as a good knowledge of the gameplay mechanics of these characters will be essential in clearing the domain.

There will be various challenge objectives in these domains, fulfilling all of which will be considered as a full clear. There may be some 'Special Rules' in different areas of the domain, so make sure to read them and keep them in mind while challenging the stage.

After completing a character's challenge domain, players will get that specific character's 'Echo cosmetic' as a reward. These Echo cosmetics are character trails that can be equipped on the characters.

With each season bringing in a fresh new line-up of characters, players can look forward to getting these gorgeous character trails for all their favorite characters.
