Tartaglia's famous bow stance will reportedly be different in Genshin Impact 5.2
On November 13, 2024, X user YaoYun97645 posted a comparison between Childe's bow stance in Genshin Impact 5.1 (current version) vs the upcoming version 5.2. The screenshots show that the character's bow stance has been modified.
Since he was launched back in 2020, Childe has had a very unique style of holding the bow, which was immediately noticed by the playerbase.
When Childe raises his bow to perform a Charged Attack in 5.2, he adopts a hunched position instead of the typical upright posture with arms fully extended. Fans have humorously attributed this unconventional stance to the character's own admission of not being particularly skilled with a bow.
As the launch of Genshin Impact 5.2 approaches, it seems HoYoverse is set to alter Tartaglia's bow stance, having him stand straight while drawing his bow. This change aims to standardize animations among all tall male bow users.
Until now, Childe was the only tall male bow user, which allowed for his unique animations. With the introduction of Ororon in version 5.2, another tall male bow user, Childe's stance will be adjusted to align with Ororon’s.
In 2021, Tartaglia's animations underwent a minor tweak when his facial expressions during stance changes from melee to ranged, and vice versa, were modified. Fans warmly welcomed the change, unlike the mixed reactions to the character's reported bow stance adjustment.
