Spikey Fish are the main enemies that need to be defeated in Dodoco's Boom-Bastic Escapades. In this tabletop board game, Spikey Fish will be present all over the board. You will have to defeat them by detonating Bombs. Dodoco can be used to place these Bombs in the right positions while keeping certain tips and strategies in mind.

1) Bombs have a cross-shaped blast radius

Any Bombs that you place and then detonate in Dodoco's Boom-Bastic Escapades will explode in a cross-shaped radius. While this means that you can defeat multiple Spikey Fish in one go if they are grouped close together, you also run the risk of Dodoco taking damage and losing vitality.

Always keep the blast radius of the Bombs in mind while placing them, which will make it easier to defeat the Spikey Fish without letting Dodoco lose vitality.

2) Take cover behind the Composite Stones

The rocks on the board, also known as Composite Stones, are built to withstand Bomb detonations. This means that you can safely take cover behind them so that Dodoco does not take any damage while trying to defeat the Spikey Fish.

Note that these rocks can end up providing cover to the Spikey Fish as well if you end up placing your Bombs in the wrong locations.

3) Make use of the on-field buffs

Occasionally, blasts will reveal hidden buffs on the board. These include items, such as:

• Shoom-Shoom Shoes (increases Dodoco's speed)
• Boom-Boom Bandoliers (increases the total number of Bombs Dodoco can carry at one time)
• Lil' Bandage (restores 1 Vitality to Dodoco)

These buffs are hidden behind the Steady-State Seagrass, which you can blast using Dodoco's Bombs. Once any of these buffs appear on the board, make sure to pick them up to help you defeat the Spikey Fish more efficiently. Remember that these buffs can stack, so pick up as many as you can.
