Reputed leakers _homdgcat and Mero have shared information about Kinich's kit, which includes details regarding his attacks (Skill and Burst), his constellations, and his talents. Kinich will be officially released in version 5.0 of Genshin Impact, so these leaks showcasing his gameplay and animations in detail can help players decide on whether to pull for him or not.
Here is a look at Kinich's normal attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst.
Kinich normal attacks
Kinich's normal attack string has a total of 3 hits. Once he has used his Elemental Skill, he can then do a normal attack mid-air before plunging. His charged attack is similar to those of almost all other Claymores, where holding down the attack causes the character to spin around rapidly. After his spin, Kinich throws his Claymore toward his enemies to attack them.
Kinich Elemental Skill
Kinich's Elemental Skill can be cast differently, depending on whether there are enemies around him.
- If there are no enemies nearby, using his Elemental Skill throws forward a grappling hook which he can use to swing and traverse distances.
- If there are enemies nearby, casting his Elemental Skill targets the grappling hook towards the enemies and he enters the 'Nightsoul Blessing' state.
The Nightsoul Blessing state lasts for a total of 10 seconds and starts with zero Nightsoul points. In this state, Kinich can do the following:
1) Once his grappling hook has targeted a nearby enemy, if Kinich does a normal attack, he circles the enemy and deals Dendro DMG. Doing this gives him 3 Nightsoul points.
2) Once the Nightsoul points he has accumulated reach the maximum (20), tapping his Elemental Skill again fires a cannon and deals AoE Dendro damage. Holding the Elemental Skill also fires a cannon but with the added benefit of being able to aim at the enemy of choice.
After firing this cannon, Kinich grapples towards the enemy. Doing either of these actions (grappling/firing a cannon) creates a 'Dead Zone' near the enemy. When Kinich moves into this Dead Zone, he will immediately gain 4 Nightsoul points.
Kinich Elemental Burst
Kinich's Elemental Burst has a 70 Energy Cost and a cooldown of 18 seconds. When Kinich casts his Elemental Burst, he summons Ajaw the Almighty Dragonlord, who deals AoE Dendro DMG at fixed intervals of a few seconds (2.8 seconds).
The duration for the Dendro damage unleashed by the Dragonlord is 15 seconds, but if Kinich uses his Elemental Burst while in the Nightsoul Blessing state, he gains an additional 2 seconds.
Kinich's Weapon
Leaker Mero has revealed information about Kinich's official weapon. A 5-star Claymore, the weapon has a base ATK of 608 and a Crit Rate of 33.1% (at Level 90). Named 'Mountain King's Fang', this Claymore is Kinich's best-in-slot weapon. It increases the user's Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst by 10% and can stack up to 6 times (a total of 60% increase in DMG).
Kinich's Constellations
Here is a brief overlay of Kinich's constellations:
- C1 (Parrot's Beak): After swinging mid-air using his Elemental Skill, Kinich's movement speed will be increased by 20% for 5 seconds. Damage from his Elemental Skill's cannon will also increase by 90%.
- C2 (Tiger Beetle's Palm): Enemies' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 5 seconds after Kinich uses his Elemental Skill to hit them.
- C3 (Protosuchian's Claw): Increases Kinich's Elemental Skill level by 3.
- C4 (Hummingbird's Feather): When Kinich is in Nightsoul Blessing state, he will restore 5 energy whenever he attacks enemies with his grapple or fires his cannon at them.
- C5 (Howler Monkey's Tail): Increases Kinich's Elemental Burst level by 3.
- C6 (Auspicious Beast's Shape): When Kinich fires his cannon and it hits nearby enemies, it will bounce one time amongst the enemies and deal 600% of Kinich's ATK as Dendro DMG.
Kinich's idle animations
Reliable leaker Dimbreath has shared in-game attacks and idle animations for Kinich. Similar to all characters, Kinich has two idle animations. The first one shows him looking at some information on a holographic display, while the second shows him interacting with the Dragonlord Ajaw.
Kinich's party entry animations
Party entry animations for the upcoming new characters to be released in Genshin 5.0 have also been revealed by leakers. If you choose Kinich to be a party member, he does a short halfway spin and then faces forward on the party setup screen.
Since these animations are part of the 5.0 beta, they are still subject to change, and might not be the final output to be released in Genshin Impact version 5.0.
