Genshin Impact Lanya leaks: Madame Ping playable character release version, weapon type, rarity, and more

Ever since the Lantern Rite update of version 4.4, Genshin Impact players have been speculating regarding the playability of Madame Ping. Several leaks had previously suggested that she will become playable in future versions. Now, Iris Leaks has disclosed on their Telegram channel that she may debut in version 5.4 and go by the name of Lanya.

Madame Ping is an Adeptus from Liyue in the game's narrative and also goes by the title of Streetward Rambler. This article discusses the latest leaks surrounding her release version, rarity, weapon type, and more.

Genshin Impact Lanya leaks hint at Madame Ping as a playable character in version 5.4

Iris Leaks has recently suggested that Madame Ping aka Streetward Rambler will soon be released as a playable character in Genshin Impact 5.4. Considering the title will be celebrating the Lantern Rite festival during this period, it would be highly appropriate to introduce an Adeptus from Liyue.

Based on the speculated Natlan update schedule, Genshin Impact version 5.4 may arrive on February 12, 2025. As such, Madame Ping may be released on either February 12 or March 4.

Similar to Cloud Retainer, who debuted in v4.4, Madame Ping will go by a different name as a playable unit. She will reportedly be called Lanya and is speculated to be a 5-star character. Leaker White__fx1 has also attested to the reliability of these leaks.

Iris Leaks further informed that Lanya will use a Polearm as her weapon of choice, similar to the Geo Archon, Zhongli, and her fellow Adeptus, Xiao. Additionally, the leaker used the term "Polearm Girl" to describe her, which could indicate that she may use the short female character model.

Like previous Lantern Rite festivals, it is likely HoYoverse will also release a new 4-star character in the 5.4 update. Iris Leaks suggests that it will be a 4-star female character who will wield a Catalyst.

While the Adeptus appears as an old lady in her Madame Ping form, there aren't any leaks regarding how she will appear as Lanya. However, the Lanya form may be similar to how she was showcased in the Echoes of the Heart Story Teaser. This is considering Cloud Retainer's final design turned out to be rather similar to how she was portrayed in the teaser.

In the above image, players can see how Madame Ping looked in her previous years. She has distinct teal hair and an outfit that follows that color scheme.
