The Pyro Archon, Mavuika, has finally made her debut as a playable character in the Genshin Impact 5.3 update. She is an integral part of the narrative and shares a close bond with the majority of the Natlan cast. Her voice lines about other characters, which get unlocked at Friendship Level 4, reveal a lot about what she thinks and feels about her fellow subjects, providing a more in-depth view of her personality.

Mavuika voicelines about Xilonen and other Natlan characters in Genshin Impact

Xilonen

"Xilonen is one of the best craftsmen in Natlan. She has the ability to forge Ancient Names and is well-versed in Secret Source technology. Not to mention, she never backs away from a challenge, even when it's completely uncharted territory. The process isn't without twists and turns — like design changes and other modifications — but the results speak for themselves."

Mavuika speaks very highly of Xilonen and proclaims that the latter is one of the best craftsmen in all of Natlan. She also lauds Xilonen's courage to face unknown situations without backing down.

Citlali

"Many people find her strange or difficult to get along with. But, this is how I see it — Citlali doesn't concern herself with trivial matters, but she's always there when it counts. I'm sure you've seen that for yourself. She's someone who can easily tunnel vision and get herself embroiled in trouble, so I try to keep certain things from her. But, she can see right through me... She's too sharp ."

Mavuika's voice line about Citlali in Genshin Impact reveals that the Pyro Archon sees the latter as someone who is always there when it counts, even though they may not be present for trivial matters. She talks about how Citlali may find herself in certain troubles because of her attitude and how she tries to keep some things from her to avoid that. However, Mavuika remarks that Citlali is too smart and always sees through her.

Chasca

"Being able to survive under the influence of Abyssal corrosion was already a miracle, but thanks to the people and Saurians of this land, she even found a reason not just to survive, but to live. I have every faith in her fortitude, but I will still do what I can to make this land a "gentler" place — even the strongest among us need a break sometimes."

Mavuika expresses that Chasca surviving Abyssal corrosion was a miracle and she is happy that the latter has found a reason to live. The Archon also mentions that she wishes she could turn Natlan into a gentler place so all those who live under her protection can find some rest.

Ororon

"In my opinion, Ororon's true personality is very different from what he projects on the outside — like lava covered in ice. His tribe and his friends bring him peace, but his drive to protect them and his need to become a hero leave him restless. It's inadvisable to act on impulse, but these are precious qualities all the same."

When it comes to Ororon in Genshin Impact, Mavuika feels that his personality is vastly different from what the outside world sees. He is very protective of the people he cares about, and desires to be a hero for all. While Mavuika understands acting on impulse may do more harm than good, she appreciates this quality in Ororon.

Iansan

Mavuika has two different voice lines for Iansan, describing a precarious situation faced by the latter and the former's advice on how to resolve it. Here's the first one:

"A lot of people underestimated Iansan during her first few Pilgrimages after receiving her Ancient Name, and singled her out during the team stage as an easy target. Even though she never lost, the constant challengers drained her stamina and affected her ranking, which only made people more likely to target her..."

The Pyro Archon recalls how Iansan was underestimated in her first few Pilgrimages even after receiving an Ancient Name. Apparently, participants used to target her and single her out. Even though she used to win from their challenges, losing out on the stamina affected her rankings.

"My advice to her was this — people are less likely to mess with someone whose strength is undeniable, so all she needed to do was to prove it. Well, she decided to do just that... by challenging me in the arena, hahaha. Yeah, I definitely didn't see that coming! In the end, she put up quite the fight, and no one underestimated her again."

In the second voice line, Mavuika reveals that she advised Iansan to prove her strength in the eyes of everyone to avoid being seen as prey. However, what she did not expect was Iansan challenging her to a fight. While the Archon obviously was the winner, Iansan did put up enough of a fight to earn everyone's respect.

Mualani

"In terms of personality, Mualani and Tupac are completely different, and yet both inherited the name, Umoja. Unity lies not in a particular action, but in a state of mind — a willingness to give your all for your nation, family and friends. But, I doubt Mualani was thinking about any of that back then. She knew one thing to be true — that Kachina's life was worth any risk to her own."

Mavuika talks about how Mualani and Tupac (the ancient hero whose Ancient Name she inherited) have different personalities. Even though they aren't alike, they both deserve the Unity name, as it is about the willingness to give your all for people you hold dear. Mavuika also says that Mualani probably wasn't thinking about all this when she rushed to save Kachina's life in the Night Kingdom.

Kinich

"In addition to the Turnfire, Malipo has another meaning, "cost" or "price." It may seem less overtly heroic compared to the other Ancient Names, but in truth, Malipo teaches us to be calm and analytical — to ask the questions people may not want to hear. Without people who possess these qualities, it's just too easy for the rest of us to act on impulse and emotion, and make decisions we'll come to regret."

The Pyro Archon discusses Kinich's Ancient Name, Malipo. She says that the people who bear that name possess the valuable quality of practicality and are analytical, often willing to ask hard questions that others may not want to.

Kachina

"After you rescued Kachina from the Night Kingdom, I visited her family with Chief Pacal, and brought a few gifts to once again apologize for what happened. Kachina's time in the Night Kingdom left her with many scars she will have to carry into the future — scars she should never have had to bear... And for that, the fault is mine."

Mavuika recalls her visit to Kachina's family in Genshin Impact following the events that led to her being stuck in the Night Kingdom. She says that Kachina has endured some emotional scars that she will have to live with due to her own fault.

Varesa

"During the Pilgrimage, I cover all the expenses at the Weary Inn, and without fail, there's always an order for a party tray for eighty. I used to assume it was someone ordering for a large group of friends, but as it turns out... Varesa ordered it all for herself."

Varesa is an upcoming character that is expected to be introduced soon, as per information revealed during the Genshin Impact 5.3 livestream. Mavuika remarks that Varesa can eat enough food for eighty people.

Ifa

"The truly great doctors often possess vast medical knowledge as well as great communication skills. And, when the patient and the doctor do not speak the same language, observation and empathy become even more important. That's why Ifa can make friends with just about anyone. Suffice it to say, if someone is on bad terms with Ifa — human or saurian — I doubt the problem lies with him, haha."

Ifa is another character teased during the Genshin Impact v5.3 livestream. The Pyro Archon talks about his great communication skills and lauds his observation skills and empathy. She says that if someone doesn't get along with Ifa, it is likely that the problem lies with them instead of him.

The Captain

"For him, I suspect the past five hundred years felt endless. When someone is deprived of death, life becomes a journey with no end, and the human spirit easily grows weary. And yet, he managed to seize the only chance of victory to arrive at the end he sought all along. I have great respect for warriors like him."

Aside from the Natlan characters, Mavuika also has a voice line in Genshin Impact for Fatui Harbinger, The Captain. She says she suspects The Captain's 500 years of struggle must have been a horrific ordeal. However, the way he did all he could to seize victory is what true warriors are like, according to the Pyro Archon.

The Seven

"To be quite honest, you likely know them better than me. However, their nations continue to survive and thrive to this day, and that would be impossible without strong leadership. Once this chapter of Natlan's history comes to a close, I plan on strengthening our relationship with other nations so that Natlan can continue to grow."

The Pyro Archon also has a voice line regarding the Seven. She says that the Traveler probably knows more about the other Genshin Impact Archons than she does. However, once she resolves the crisis in Natlan, she plans to strengthen her relationship with them.
