Genshin Impact Mualani gameplay animations and abilities leaked
Mualani is rumored to be a 5-star Hydro Catalyst in Genshin Impact. She is expected to make her debut in Version 5.0 along with the new region, Natlan. She is a tour guide who helps people explore Natlan and has an incredible knowledge of every route in the region.
Recent leaks from reputable sources such as dimbreath and HomDGCat have given the community an early look into Mualani's kit and animations.
Normal Attack
Mualani throws small pufferfishes as her normal attacks which deal Hydro DMG. Doing a charged attack consumes stamina but allows Mualani to hit a Pufferball into the air which deals AoE Hydro DMG when it lands. Mualani can also do a plunging attack that deals Hydro DMG to enemies in her path and AoE Hydro DMG around the location where she lands.
Elemental Skill
When Mualani uses her Elemental Skill, she gains 60 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state. Going into this state provides Mualani with the following effects:
- Nightsoul points are constantly consumed. The Nightsoul Blessing state ends after all Nightsoul points are consumed or if the Elemental Skill is used again.
- Mualani rides her Sharky Surfboard, increasing her movement speed. Mualani can also move on water and liquid Phlogiston. She takes no damage from the latter while being in the Nightsoul Blessing state.
- Normal Attacks are converted to Sharky's Bite. This deals Hydro DMG based on Mualani's Max HP. This attack can also be done while mid-air. Damage from Sharky's Bite is considered a Normal Attack DMG.
- Mualani marks opponents with the "Marked as Prey" effect if she comes into contact with them. She also gains a stack of Wave Momentum and she can store up to three stacks.
- The damage dealt by Sharky's Bite is increased based on Mualani's Wave Momentum stacks. Having three Wave Momentum stacks converts a charged Sharky's Bite attack into Sharky's Surging Bite which deals increased damage while consuming all Wave Momentum stacks.
- Sharky's Bite consumes "Marked as Prey" marks when attacking enemies inflicted by it. Mualani will fire Shark Missiles that can damage up to 5 enemies "Marked as Prey", dealing the same amount of damage as the Sharky's Bite and consuming the mark too.
- The damage of the Shark Missiles and Sharky's Bite decreases if more than one enemy is damaged up to a maximum of a 24% decrease when three or more enemies are damaged.
Elemental Burst
Mualani rides Sharky before launching it to home in on opponents. It deals AoE Hydro DMG based on Mualani's Max HP
Idle animations
Mualani's first idle animation sees her use a pair of maracas to play a tune and dance to it as well. In her second idle animation, she blows her torso up like a pufferfish and bounces around before frantically trying to break it.
Party screen entry animation
Reputable leakers have also shared a glimpse at what could be Mualani's party screen entry animation. She rides into the party with Sharky before dropping down and striking a confident pose with Sharky by her side.
