The official drip marketing for Genshin Impact version 5.0 has been revealed, introducing Mualani as an upcoming playable character. Version 5.0 will feature the brand-new region Natlan, and the characters that are expected to be released alongside Mualani are Kachina and Kinich. All three of them are brand new who players had already gotten a sneak peek of in the Natlan trailer.

Genshin Impact 5.0 drip marketing reveals Mualani

Mualani release version

Mualani will be released in version 5.0 of Genshin Impact, as confirmed by HoYoverse, along with the exciting new region of Natlan, the Pyro nation. She, along with Kachina and Kinich will be the first three characters to be released in Natlan.

There is no news yet on whether her banner will be available in the first half (starting August 28), or the second half (starting September 17). Players will have to wait and watch for further official announcements from HoYoverse for confirmation.

As already seen from her vision in the Natlan teaser, Mualani will be a Hydro character. Official drip marketing also further confirms her Hydro element. She has a Hydro Natlan vision, which is present on her back.

Thus, she will be the first Hydro character from among the entire Natlan cast lineup to be released.

While there is no official announcement on the character's rarity, several leaks about Mualani have stated that she will be a 5-star character. Many fans have stated that her design makes her seem like a 5-star unit as well.

According to leaker foul_leak, there will be a Hydro catalyst weapon released in Genshin Impact 5.0. Seeing as Mualani is the only Hydro character to come out during the 5.0 patch, this catalyst is most likely her signature weapon.
