Genshin Impact reveals artifact optimization and related quality of life features

The latest edition of the Genshin Impact Developers Discussion, dated November 6, 2024, has revealed several new artifact optimizations and other QoL updates for the version 5.2 update. This includes a new update to the auto-lock feature, Artifact Astral Mark, and more. This will make things a lot easier for Travelers to sort and filter Artifacts when managing them in large quantities.

Genshin Impact 5.2 to upgrade the Artifacts auto-lock feature and add more QoL-related updates

The Artifact auto-lock Feature will be updated in version 5.2 to make it easier for Travelers to manage a large number of Artifacts. After the version 5.2 update, players can enable the Lock Plan to allow the system to do all the work. This will auto-lock any new artifact that meets the requirements based on the set plan.

The system will already have a preset plan for Artifacts based on the common applications to keep things simple. Players do not need to do anything after enabling the feature. That said, Travelers can also set their own plans for each set depending on their requirements.

For example, if a player has created a plan for a Goblet with any Elemental DMG Bonus main affix, the system will auto-lock any new Artifact that meets the requirement.

Genshin Impact 5.2 will also add a new Astral Mark feature to make filtering Artifacts even easier. Travelers can use this function to mark the Artifacts with a star. Interestingly, this feature can be used with the auto-lock option as well. The marked Artifacts will be automatically locked and will be given priority when displaying the Artifacts.

In addition to filtering the Artifacts with a star mark, a new feature will be added that will sort all the Artifacts based on the order in which they were obtained. Travelers can enable this option on the Artifacts page of the Inventory and check out all the most recently obtained Artifacts. This feature will come in handy when farming new Artifacts in Domains.
