Regardless, the delay has not dampened players' excitement for the character, especially because some new information regarding Varka has also been revealed.

Varka-Mavuika meeting revealed in the Pyro Archon's drip marketing post in Genshin Impact

As revealed via the drip marketing posted on Genshin Impact's X account, Varka has already met the Pyro Archon Mavuika.

To quickly brush up on the lore, Varka is the Grand Master of the Mondstadt Knights of Favonius. However, he has been missing ever since the Traveler's journey in Teyvat began. He entrusted the responsibility of the Knights of Favonius to Jean and left for an expedition long before the Traveler even set foot in Mondstadt.

Varka has only ever been name-dropped in-game but is yet to show up and reveal himself. In fact, this little interaction with Mavuika (as described in her drip marketing post) is the first that has been heard of Varka in quite some time.

In the post, Varka mentions that he has already met Mavuika:

"Mavuika? Ohh! You mean the one who competed with me in the Stadium of the Sacred Flame! Hahaha, you'd think an Archon could hold their liquor better than that! Uh... what? They said I got wasted first? No freaking way, not a chance! That day, I was... uh, hang on a sec, now why did I go see the Pyro Archon that day again...?"

This interaction is rather mysterious, as it implies that Varka and Mavuika have not only met but also fought each other in the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Additionally, this dialogue from Varka is said out loud to Alice, who is a famous witch belonging to the Hexenzirkel and is also Klee's mother.
