Genshin Impact: Simulanka Squirrel Heart puzzle guide for hidden chest

The map of Simulanka is divided into three regions: Forest of Blessings, Constellation Metropole, and Broken Sea. Each region can be unlocked by completing the corresponding main quest. After completing the last part of the quest that unlocks the Broken Sea region, origami animals from the Forest of Blessings can be found in Broken Sea as well.

There is a particular location in Broken Sea where a squirrel is trying to piece together a toy block heart as a proposal for its partner. This guide explains how to correctly solve the squirrel heart puzzle using the building blocks, as well as what happens if you fail to make the heart in the right way.

The squirrel heart puzzle is located on one of the islands at the eastern edge of the Broken Sea region. To get there, you need to teleport to the waypoint on the main eastern island of Broken Sea and use the trampoline blocks to jump and glide over to the tiny island.

Squirrel heart puzzle in Genshin Impact Simulanka: How to solve?

Once you reach the tiny island, you will find the two squirrels on the island with an unfinished toy heart in front of them. Follow these steps to solve the squirrel heart puzzle:

Step 1: Pick up and position the first red block

This puzzle does not require you to interact with the squirrels to start it. Simply begin by picking up the first red block from behind the squirrel on the left. Position it correctly to fit in one of the empty slots in the toy heart.

Step 2: Connect the Oracle Pillars

Walk to the right, and connect the two Oracle Pillars together. You can do so by pressing 'T' (on PC), or the mobile equivalent of it.

Step 3: Use the magic thread to go over to the next island

Once the Oracle Pillars are connected, you will get the option to fly over to the island ahead. Click on the 'Fly Along Magic Thread' option, and you will be automatically taken to the island in front of you.

Step 4: Pick up the red block from the island and go back

There will be another red block directly in front of you. Pick it up, and use the magic thread to fly back to the island with the toy heart.

Step 5: Position the second red block

There will be one empty slot remaining on the left side of the heart. Fit this red block in that empty slot.

Once the heart is finished, interact with the squirrel on the left by walking up to it and clicking the "I pieced it together for you" option.

Once you have set the scene in motion by talking to the squirrel on the left, its partner (the squirrel on the right) will look at the heart and move towards it. Once the scene is over, you will get an Exquisite Chest as a reward. Open it to get Primogems, Mora, Excerpts of Bliss, and other items.

In case you position the blocks in the wrong place and fail to make the heart correctly, the squirrel's partner will leave, and the squirrel will be left alone. The toy heart will be in a broken state.

You will still get an Exquisite Chest as a reward either way, but the squirrels won't get their shot at living happily together ever after.
