Genshin Impact Skirk leaks: Element and release version leaked

Ever since Skirk's official appearance in the Genshin Impact Fontaine Archon Quest, the playerbase has been waiting with bated breath for news of her playability and release date. Fortunately, the recently concluded Genshin Impact 5.3 livestream provided information regarding the same. As revealed during the livestream, Skirk will be one of the upcoming playable characters to be released within the next six months.

Skirk leaks hint at her element and release version in Genshin Impact

According to leakers hxg_diluc and Full Stop Chan, Skirk might be released as a playable Cryo character in Genshin Impact 5.7. Both are considered credible sources with good track records, lending to the possibility of these leaks being entirely true. Furthermore, another leaker named Genshin Leakflow recently claimed that Skirk will be a main DPS unit. Genshin Leakflow has a mixed track record so it is difficult to say how accurate this info is.

Skirk is a much-hyped character in Genshin Impact, whom players were very curious to know more about even before her official appearance in the game. Prior to Skirk's model and design reveal in the Fontaine Archon Quest, her being Childe's master/teacher in the Abyss was the only information available about her. As per Childe's character story, Skirk was the "mysterious swordswoman who taught him to pass through the Abyss unhindered", and also "nurtured the ability to stir up endless havoc from within Childe's trouble-mongering nature".

Skirk's appearance in the Fontaine Archon Quest was the first time players got to see her in-game. She played a short but significant role there, leaving the playerbase wanting to see more of her. Her design was a much-talked-about topic for quite a while, as was her lore and related future implications.

The Genshin Impact 5.2 livestream revealed a roadmap of all the upcoming characters who will be playable soon, with Skirk being one of them. While the characters are all presented as silhouettes, it is very easy to make out their forms.

If the leak regarding Skirk's release window and element are true, players will get to acquaint themselves with this mysterious character very soon. Skirk's possible release in version 5.7 means that she would be released during one of the last few Natlan patches. It remains to be seen whether she gets introduced as a visitor to Natlan, or during an event that takes us to another nation. Players will need to wait for announcements from HoYoverse for confirmation regarding the same.
